On September 2, the sowing of winter wheat began in Turkmenistan. With the blessing of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, this important agricultural campaign started simultaneously in all velayats of the country.

As the head of state emphasized at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on August 26 through a digital system, growing a rich grain crop is of great importance for ensuring a prosperous life for the people.

It should be noted that in the era of the Renaissance of the new era of a powerful state, good results are achieved in all sectors of the economy, including agriculture. The state creates all conditions for the fruitful work of farmers and the cultivation of rich crops by them.

Program work aimed at strengthening the food security of the country is being carried out. Daikhans are provided with high-quality seed material, mineral fertilizers, modern technology, chemicals and water in sufficient volumes.

According to a good folk tradition, having raised a prayer to the Almighty for sending down a generous and full-bodied harvest like a Bugday, the venerable elders started the sowing. Having thrown the first seeds of winter wheat into the well-prepared land with the words “Let every planted seed grow into a full-fledged ear!”, the aksakals and their young assistants passed the symbolic sowing baton to machine operators.

The grain field of the country will occupy 690 thousand hectares of land, from which 1 million 400 thousand tons of grain will be harvested in 2023, including 400 in Akhal velayat, 345 in Mary, 310 in Lebap, 265 in Dashoguz and 80 in Balkan thousand tons.

Turkmen farmers prepared with special care for a responsible campaign, having timely plowed and fertilized agricultural land intended for next year's wheat harvest. Also, high-quality seeds of such productive varieties of food wheat as Sähraýy, Ýolöten-3, Juwan, Ýolöten-1, Miras, Berkarar, Garaşsyzlyk, Bitarap were prepared in advance.

In general, 1972 arable, 1545 row-crop tractors and seeders from such leading world companies as John Deere, CLAAS, Case, as well as other equipment that ensures high labor productivity of farmers will be involved in the current sowing season in Turkmenistan.

The dynamic development of agriculture is a significant area of state policy, the main goal of which is to strengthen the economic power of the Motherland and improve the well-being of the people. Large-scale transformations are being successfully carried out in this area, designed to help solve problems in the field of import substitution and increase the export potential of the agro-industrial complex by increasing the production of various agricultural products.

As part of the agrarian reform, specific measures are being taken to digitalize the industry, introduce advanced technologies and innovations. Significant investments are directed to the construction of modern agro-processing enterprises, elevators and mill complexes with workshops for the preparation of selected seed wheat, plants for the production of mineral fertilizers.

Along with this, within the framework of the approved programs - for the socio-economic development of the country until 2025, the National Rural Program - large investment projects are being implemented that radically change the life of the Turkmen village.

On the occasion of the start of the sowing of winter crops in the farm "Ak üzüm" of the Ak Bugday etrap of the Akhal velayat, in the daikhan associations "Goç" of the Serdar etrap of the Balkan velayat, "Türkmenistan" of the Gubadag etrap of the Dashoguz velayat, "Watan" of the Chardzhev etrap of the Lebap velayat, "Türkmenistan" of the Vekilbazar etrap Seminars were held in the Mary velayat with the participation of representatives of regional and etrap khyakimliks, heads of daikhan associations, agronomists, machine operators, tenant farmers, and elders.

During the seminars, in particular, the issues of an organized sowing campaign, the use of modern methods of agricultural technology and best practices in the cultivation of grain were discussed in detail, which will undoubtedly help farmers sow strategically important crops in the most favorable time and with high quality.

Exhibitions of products manufactured by enterprises of the country's agro-industrial complex and modern agricultural machinery were also organized. On the occasion of the start of the sowing campaign, song and musical ensembles and folklore groups prepared a concert program.
