Today, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G. Mammedova have participated in the opening ceremony of a new building complex of the Economic Management Department of Military and Law Enforcement Agencies at the State Border Service of Turkmenistan.

This event has become another striking illustration of the target-based measures being taken in the country to upgrade and improve the material and technical resources of the Armed Forces, including the Frontier Troops of Turkmenistan, and create adequate service and living conditions for the military personnel.

The issues of strengthening the defense capability and modernizing the material and technical resources of the National Army in accordance with the Military Doctrine of a purely defensive nature, based on the permanent neutrality status of the Homeland, are the subject of unabated attention of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Early in the morning, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G. Mammedova arrived at the venue.

Minister of Defense, Secretary of the State Security Council B. Gundogdyev reported on the readiness for the opening ceremony of a new building complex of the Economic Management Department of Military and Law Enforcement Agencies at the State Border Service of Turkmenistan.

The literary and musical composition “Jan Watanym, Türkmenistan” and the patriotic song “Ýör, öňe Watan”, inspired by the ensemble of the border service “Serhet owazlary”, the song “Ýör, öňe Watan”, glorifying the independent neutral Homeland and the united Turkmen people, performed inspiringly by an ensemble of the Border Service, added a special festive mood to the ceremony.

The culminating moment has come, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, together with Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G. Mammedova, cut the symbolic ribbon and entered the area of a new modern complex built as part of the ongoing military reform. It has all facilities necessary for the service and life of military personnel.

Head of the Economic Management Department of Military and Law Enforcement Agencies Ch. Amanov reported on the facilities built and the conditions created in them, and familiarized with the arrangement of the mess and sleeping quarters, the features of related structures and the types of economic activities being carried out by military personnel.

The mess with 150 seats has everything necessary for preparing nutritious and healthy food for the border guards. The equipment and impeccable cleanliness of the premises, including the kitchen, fully meet modern requirements.

The leaders of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan asked questions about the caloric content and the range of dishes for military personnel.

As was noted, the menu includes various dishes of national cuisine, with the priority attention given to a balanced diet. The modern equipment installed in these premises, as well as the conditions created for cooks, contributes to the optimization of the cooking process.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh and the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh were shown prepared dishes. In a conversation with the servicemen, the leaders of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan asked them about the service conditions, their wishes, and how they spend their leisure time.

The border guards shared their dreams about the professions they want to learn in the near future. The Hero Arkadag and the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh pointed out that today the state is implementing targeted measures for the education and training of young people who are the Homeland’s future, as well as educating the young generation in the spirit of patriotism, diligence and commitment.

The servicemen said that in their free time they are fond of musical art, and sang a song about the Homeland.

Having informed the young soldiers that the 7th Congress of the Central Council of the Youth Organization named after Magtymguly is to be held on September 1, at which a number of topical issues of the youth policy will be discussed, the Hero Arkadag asked them if they have proposals. According to the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty, youth have to be a leading force in every undertaking and take an active part in the events significant for the country. Speaking about that, the Arkadag reminded of a meeting with representatives of the younger generation, during which they made the relevant proposals. In this regard, the Hero Arkadag said that he would convey to the head of state the proposals and wishes of military personnel related to the youth policy.

The border guards, who were called up for the service from various regions of the country, expressed deep gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for creating all the conditions for their exemplary service and assured that they would honorably continue the traditions of our glorious ancestors in defending the sacred borders of the Homeland.

Then the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh and the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh watched the exhibition of agricultural goods and foodstuffs, produced by the military personnel of the Economic Management Department, which was organized within the complex.

Varieties of vegetables, melons, watermelons, guards and fruits grown in the allotted plots were presented such as grape varieties “Alaman doýran”, “Rowaç”, “Sary kişmiş”, “Şa serpaý”, “Taýfy” and “Gyzyl üzüm”, apples, plums, as well as spring and winter varieties of cucumbers, tomatoes and cabbage. The materials illustrating the ongoing work on the breeding of agricultural plants based on the effective application of scientific advances were demonstrated.

A special place at the exposition was designated for meat and dairy products. This is another example that, along with other productions, great attention in the subsidiary farms of the country’s law enforcement agencies is paid to livestock and poultry farming.

The priority objectives of the state policy being pursued under the far-sighted leadership of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov include providing food abundance through the maximum use of available resources and potential. The establishment of highly profitable subsidiary farms in various agencies and industries facilitates the progress in addressing this issue. An example in this regard is the Economic Management Department of Military and Law Enforcement Agencies.

The progressive increase in the production in this department allows for completely providing its personnel, and, at the same time, contributes to strengthening food security in the country. Moreover, methods of growing various agricultural crops are studied, and work is underway to expand their range and sown areas.

The establishment of the Economic Management Department of Military and Law Enforcement Agencies allows military personnel, in addition to contributing to food abundance, improve the environmental situation. Fruit and deciduous trees growing in the allotted areas create a favorable climate.

By the way, there are land plots owned by the Economic Management Department of Military and Law Enforcement Agencies in different regions of our country, where vegetables, melons, watermelons, guards and fruits are grown. Various fruit trees grow along the watercourses in the Turkmen land. The suitability of these areas for farming and growing fruit trees has been scientifically substantiated, which testifies to proper combination of work under way in this area with the advances of modern science.

It should be noted that fresh fruits gathered from the land plots of the Economic Management Department, established on the initiative of the Hero Arkadag, are used to make jams and juices which are then included in the diet of military personnel. This work increases the love of young soldiers for their native land and noble cause.

The Economic Management Department of Military and Law Enforcement Agencies has warehouses and refrigeration units designed to provide military personnel with fresh vegetables and fruits all year round.

Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh proceeded to the training room, where the Department Head demonstrated on an interactive whiteboard how the servicemen take care of the planted trees, and told about the methods of irrigation and cuttings of fruit trees.

The Arkadag and the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh stressed the importance of developing horticulture, viticulture and vegetable growing in different regions of the country and in vacant areas, which is of great importance, along with food abundance, for the formation of an ecologically healthy environment.

Speaking about the economic feasibility of growing fruit and vegetable crops and keeping livestock and birds in the subsidiary farms of military and law enforcement agencies, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh emphasized the importance of subsidiary farms for both ensuring food abundance and cultivating love for work in young soldiers.

The facilities used in the Department and overalls for military personnel were also presented.

Continuing the examination of the living conditions for the border guards, the leaders of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan visited the quarters, where all conditions were created for recreation.

Samples of military uniforms and sportswear that meet international quality standards and are made from domestic environmentally friendly materials were also exhibited on the venue.

Having completed the inspection, the Hero Arkadag said that this morning, giving instructions to take part in the opening ceremony of a new building complex of the Economic Management Department of Military and Law Enforcement Agencies, the head of state ordered to present fruits and vegetables grown in the Department as gifts to the pupils of the “Döwletliler köşgi” Palace, who are now having rest in the children’s health-improving center “Altyn damja” in Gokdere.

Then, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Hero Arkadag presented the keys to the cars to the Economic Management Department Head as a gift.

The melodies played and songs performed attached a special solemnity to the event.

Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G. Mammedova watched demonstration performances in various sports by military personnel and the “Türkmen edermen” special task force of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan.

Then the leaders of the Milli Gengesh were shown Akhalteke horses, which are kept by military personnel. As is known, these legendary and world famous horses are actively used in military units.

Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G. Mammedova were also shown dogs of the Alabai breed kept in the Economic Management Department.

Currently, the Alabai dogs, bred by the creative labor of the glorious ancestors of the Turkmen people, are used for service purposes in the military and law enforcement agencies. The Alabai dogs kept here also participate in competitions held in our country. As is known, Akhan Alabai owned by the State Border Service is the winner of the International Competition “Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy” held in 2021.

The Hero Arkadag asked about the distinctive qualities and the competition winner keeping and training features.
