Today, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the sixth Summit of the heads of the Caspian states.

Warmly greeting each other, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to exchange views on key issues of interstate cooperation in a personal meeting.

Thanking for the warm welcome, the head of the friendly state, taking the opportunity, congratulated the Turkmen leader on his 65th birthday and sincerely wished him good health, happiness, inexhaustible strength and energy, as well as success in state and public activities in the name of progress and prosperity of the Fatherland.

Expressing deep gratitude for the high award, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the mutual positive attitude of the parties, their focus on deepening traditional cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, expanding inter-parliamentary contacts, inspire confidence in the great future of the Turkmen-Kazakhstan relations.

The interlocutors stated with satisfaction that today our countries are actively developing the established productive dialogue, successfully cooperating in all key areas, both on a bilateral and multilateral basis, in particular, through major international organizations and authoritative regional structures.

Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan attach great importance to the strengthening of close partnerships between the countries of the Caspian region, in connection with which mutual confidence was expressed in the successful, fruitful work of the next Summit of heads of coastal states held in Ashgabat.
