The effective development of investments in industries in order to create new industries and additional jobs in cities and villages, including the most remote corners of the country, became a cross-cutting topic of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held on Thursday. In this context, it is planned to draft the State Budget, the Main Directions of Socio-Economic Development and the Investment Program for 2023, as well as review the current situation by industry and long-term tasks.

As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, in January-April 2022, the total volume of capital investments disbursed in the country from all sources of financing amounted to 7.8 billion manats. During this period, 492 new economic entities were registered, 1,662 new jobs were opened in the regions. 59 percent of the capital investments allocated for development were directed to the construction of social facilities and 41 percent to industrial ones.

Along with the work already done, much remains to be done in industries and regions, to solve many problems related to increasing the level of industrialization and digitalization of the national economy, intensifying institutional reforms, and introducing digital technologies to all industries. The head of state stressed the importance of the effective use of the country's rich natural resources, the development of small and medium-sized businesses and the creation of a favorable business environment, the wide attraction of domestic and foreign investments, the use of world experience in order to significantly increase the competitiveness of the national economy and the well-being of the people.

The sectoral reports presented at the government meeting presented the available reserves and opportunities for creating new enterprises in the manufacturing sector and the service sector, and optimizing the labor market. Thus, information was provided on the number of enterprises in the oil and gas complex and the commissioning of new facilities, as well as on staff positions and the creation of additional jobs in the fuel and energy complex. The commissioning of new industrial enterprises led to an increase in the number of new jobs compared to the same period last year. In 2022, it is planned to create new jobs in connection with the commissioning of the international higher school of horse breeding and the horse breeding research and production center in the administrative center of the Akhal velayat under construction. In connection with the supply of modern multifunctional tractors, the second and third batches of seeders and cultivators, it is planned to create an appropriate number of staff units for the management of this equipment in the agro-industrial complex.

In the transport sector, with the acquisition of freight diesel locomotives by the Türkmendemirýollary agency, passenger cars, mini-buses by the Türkmenawtoulaglary agency, with the construction of passenger bus stations and sites for auto racing, as well as KAMAZ training and service centers in the velayats, new places for employment will be created. Additional jobs will also be created by the planned acquisition by the Türkmenhowaýollary and Türkmendeňizderýaýollary agencies of new airliners and the construction of ships.

The Türkmenaragatnaşyk Agency plans to expand communication lines and digital automatic telephone points, introduce new types of postal services, build residential buildings for industry employees and a modern administrative building in Akhal velayat, which also expands employment opportunities for the population.

Thousands of new jobs across the country will be created due to the commissioning of new educational, healthcare, sports, fitness and other social facilities in 2022. In general, as President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized, it is necessary to create all conditions in the country so that people can work conscientiously and with enthusiasm, because caring for improving the well-being of the people is the main task of the state.
