Yesterday, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a representative delegation headed by Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh, Honorary Elder of Turkmenistan, Hajy Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, left for Abu Dhabi to attend commemorative events in connection with the death of the UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

From the Ashgabat International Air Harbor, the delegation headed by Hero-Arkadag flew to the United Arab Emirates. Some time later, the airliner landed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, where the Hero-Arkadag and the delegation of our country were warmly welcomed by the UAE officials. At the reception center of distinguished guests of the airport, Hajy Arkadag was welcomed by the Minister of Energy, Strategic Development of the United Arab Emirates Suheil Al Mazrui, who invited the Hero-Arkadag to go to the center.

Expressing deep sadness in connection with the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Hero-Arkadag on behalf of the people and the President of Turkmenistan, and personally on his own behalf conveyed sincere condolences and words of support to the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates.

In turn, the Minister of Energy, Strategic Development of the UAE expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Hero-Arkadag for coming, despite the considerable distance, and a personal expression of support for empathy.

Then, in the reception center for distinguished guests, the Hero-Arkadag met with the eldest son of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Expressing condolences, Hero-Arkadag emphasized the great contribution of the deceased to the development of bilateral relations and bringing them to a qualitatively new level.

Thanking, in turn, for the respect and empathy shown, Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted that Turkmenistan is a reliable partner of the UAE and expressed confidence in the further development of fraternal relations between the peoples of the two countries.

Praying that Almighty Allah send peace of mind and steadfastness to the people of the UAE at this difficult moment, the Hero-Arkadag once again expressed his sincere condolences and words of support to the families of the deceased.

Then, Hajy Arkadag met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Expressing on behalf of the President and the people of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, words of empathy and support, Hero-Arkadag noted that the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan was a great loss for the people of the UAE.

“With his charitable and humanitarian activities, he left a bright mark in the Islamic world,” - noted Haji Arkadag.

Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the deceased President of the United Arab Emirates, who carried out great charitable work in our country, is well known in Turkmenistan.

Along with this, Hero-Arkadag noted that Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan assisted in the construction of the Ashgabat mosque, the “Döwletliler köşgi” Palace, the “Ene Mähri” Center, the International Center for Internal Medicine, the Children's Hospital in Mary Velayat, and the modernization of the “Archman” sanatorium and the Mary International Air Harbor, and also provided charitable assistance to the “Döwletliler köşgi” Palace.

“The good deeds of the deceased will never be forgotten,” Hero-Arkadag emphasized. Addressing the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Haji Arkadag noted that, in case of his consent, he intends to hold a day of commemoration of the deceased in the mosque he built in Ashgabat next Friday. Hero-Arkadag wished the people of the UAE unity, and the family and relatives of the deceased - fortitude and patience.

He also noted that the merits of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in maintaining regional and global peace are worthy of special mention. “He was a wise leader, devoted to his country and his people, which earned him great authority throughout the world. Under his leadership, the UAE has made significant progress in various areas,” Hero-Arkadag emphasized, expressing confidence that this activity will be further developed.

In turn, Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan wholeheartedly expressed gratitude to the Turkmen delegation and Hajy Arkadag for having come a long way and personally expressed condolences.

Also, during the visit, Hero-Arkadag met with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Presidency of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Expressing sincere condolences, Hajy Arkadag noted the special merits of the late President of the UAE in the development of relations between the Emirates and Turkmenistan, as well as in strengthening peace and sustainable development, both in the UAE and in the entire region. Sincerely thanking Hajy Arkadag for personal support and condolences at this difficult moment, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed confidence in the further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE across the entire spectrum of relations.

The mufti of Turkmenistan read "ayat-tovir" in memory of the deceased, wished that the prayers read be accepted by the Almighty, and also expressed words of support and empathy for the people of the UAE.

Then the motorcade of the Hero-Arkadag went to one of the magnificent mosques in the world - to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which bears the name of the founder of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Representatives of the mosque warmly welcomed Hajy Arkadag and members of the delegation of our country. Hero-Arkadag visited the mausoleum of the founder of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

In the mosque, a prayer "ayat-tovir" was read in memory of the deceased. The mufti of Turkmenistan also read surahs from the Holy Quran and prayed that good deeds for the sake of the happiness of the peoples and the well-being of the countries would be marked by success.

Having prayed that the soul of the deceased would be in paradise, Hajy Arkadag left a memorable entry in the book for honored guests of the mosque.

A representative of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque handed over to Hero-Arkadag books containing detailed information about this and other similar places of worship in the world.

Hajy Arkadag expressed sincere gratitude to the representative of the mosque for the wonderful gifts.
