Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, while being on a festive trip to Balkan velayat, took part in the opening ceremony of a 400-bed multi-specialty hospital, which replenished the constantly improving infrastructure of domestic healthcare.

...In the morning, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived by car at the building of a multidisciplinary hospital in Turkmenbashi city, Balkan velayat.

Everyone cordially welcomes the head of the Turkmen state with great enthusiasm.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov walks to the podium installed in front of the main entrance of the multi-specialty hospital being put into operation.

Addressing the ceremony participants with a welcoming speech, the head of state noted that the progressive improvement of the standard of living of the native people, the development of villages and cities are among the main goals we face. Therefore, in the Era of the Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State, great and grandiose deeds are being carried out in our country, many objects of various purposes are being built and put into operation.

On this day of the year, which is held under the motto “The Epoch of the People with Arkadag”, we are taking part in the opening ceremony of a 400-bed modern multi-specialty hospital in Turkmenbashi city of Balkan velayat, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said, heartily congratulating the audience on a wonderful event.

We are doing a lot of work aimed at educating a physically strong, spiritually rich, talented generation devoted to an independent neutral Homeland. In the capital – Ashgabat city, as well as in the regions of the country, large-scale construction and commissioning of new hospitals, health homes, recreational and wellness centers, sanatoriums and world-class sports complexes are being carried out, as clearly evidenced by today’s opening of a modern multidisciplinary hospital in a solemn atmosphere, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.

It was noted that the new medical facility corresponding to international standards is designed to strengthen the health of the population and treat diseases through innovative technologies and methods. The seven-storey hospital building has all the conditions for the work of about 1,200 its employees.

The hospital has 27 departments with a wide range of opportunities for improving people’s health and treating diseases.

The modern equipment installed here makes it possible to carry out special operations at a high level.

The necessary conditions are also provided for patients. Single and double inpatient wards have all the amenities.

A digital interconnection system has been installed in all departments of the hospital, which allows the urgent exchange of data necessary for the provision of medical services and the swift organization of boards of doctors.

In general, a multidisciplinary hospital equipped with modern technology, which is intended to carry out various kinds of medical procedures, will become one of the country’s leading centers in the field of public health promotion, disease prevention and treatment of patients with advanced methods, the head of state concluded.

Then a thorough acquaintance commences with the new hospital, its technical equipment and the conditions created here for patients and the work of doctors.

The construction of a modern medical facility was carried out by order of the khyakimlik of Balkan velayat by Ussat inžener individual enterprise, which is a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

The total area of the hospital is 10.5 hectares, and the area of the building itself is 41,156 square meters.

The 7-storey complex houses 27 departments, including departments of functional diagnostics, otorhinolaryngology, neurosurgery, internal medicine, ambulance, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, anesthesiology and intensive care, as well as advisory, pediatric, neurological, endocrinology, cardiology, dental departments, blood bank, centralized laboratory, etc.

The country’s President begins his rounds from the hemodialysis room located on the ground floor of the building.

Greeting the head of state, the doctor introduced him to the innovative equipment installed here. These are artificial kidney devices manufactured by Fresenius (Germany) that meet all modern requirements, designed for adults and children. Moreover, the artificial kidney device for children is the first in Balkan velayat. As noted, this equipment is destined to purify the blood from toxins in acute and chronic renal failure.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also carefully examined the device with which it is possible to carry out extracorporeal blood purification in acute renal failure and low blood pressure.

Then the President of the country went to the maternity ward.

Showing a spacious and bright ward, the department doctor highlighted that all conditions have been created in the building of the multidisciplinary hospital in Turkmenbashi city to strengthen the health of patients. Single and double rooms have modern furniture, necessary technical equipment, personal hygiene kits and are connected to a centralized oxygen supply system.

The head of state was demonstrated a bed that can change its position with the help of special electric motors.

The foreign guests taking part in the celebration, working in Turkmenistan – the head of the WHO Country Office and the deputy representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), noting the high level of equipment of the new hospital opened today, sincerely congratulated the head of state on this significant event.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, thanking them for their participation in the current celebration, said that Turkmenistan will continue to develop cooperation with the world’s leading organizations in the field of public health.

After examining the ward, the country’s President went to the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Department located on the same floor.

The doctor acquainted the head of state with the modern medical equipment installed here.

The head of state was shown a bed that changes its position with the help of electric motors. Another feature of it is mattresses with a warming effect, which, by carrying out wave-like movements, prevent the bedsores in patients receiving treatment for a long time.

There is also an artificial lung ventilation device manufactured in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Expressing gratitude to the head of state for the opening of a new hospital, which will promote the noble goals of Saglyk State Program – health protection and increasing the life expectancy of the population, the doctor assured President Serdar Berdimuhamedov that in response to the care shown, medical workers will work honestly, exerting all their strength, knowledge and experience.

Then the head of state proceeded to the operating department.

The surgeon told about the work of the department, the equipment installed here and its functional purpose.

There are 12 operating rooms – general surgery, traumatology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, eye diseases, orthopedics. In addition, there is an operating room for emergency operations.

The head of state was demonstrated the latest equipment from the world’s best manufacturers. Among them are endoscopic equipment that allows minimally invasive operations, a multifunctional mobile X-ray machine manufactured by Siemens (Germany), with which during the operation it is easy to detect the location of the pathological focus without the use of special means.

The President of Turkmenistan was introduced a surgical table that can be rotated in any direction, choosing the most convenient position for the patient’s operation; an artificial respiration apparatus for general anesthesia; an argon plasma coagulation apparatus, unlike a conventional electro-coagulator, which allows stopping massive bleeding without contact with tissues; an ultramodern apparatus with help of which microsurgical operations are performed, invisible to an ordinary eye. This modern equipment is made in Germany.

In conclusion, the surgeon wished the country’s President health and happiness from the bottom of his heart and expressed sincere gratitude for the care shown and the implementation of grandiose programs, thanks to which our country is flourishing and the living conditions of the people are improving day by day.

After examining the operating department, the head of state visited the department of radiation diagnostics.

The doctor of the angiography room proudly presented innovative equipment that allows for high-level endovascular operations found in applied medicine.

Expressing deep gratitude for the excellent hospital, where the advanced technologies of the world are concentrated, the doctor of the angiography office wished the head of Turkmenistan health, long life and great success in large-scale activities for the benefit of the people and the country.

Then President Serdar Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the equipment of the X-ray room.

The head of state was introduced an X-ray machine of the German Siemens Company, which allows you to see the organs and tissues of the body in high resolution, as well as to carry out video monitoring of the respiratory tract.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to work in modern clinics equipped with the latest science and technology, the doctor on behalf of the medical workers of Balkan velayat assured that in response to the care they will work tirelessly and give all their strength and knowledge in the name of preserving the health of the citizens of our sovereign Homeland.

Then the head of state went to the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) office, where he was introduced a magnetic resonance tomography manufactured by Siemens.

According to the doctor, due to the intensity of the magnetic field, this device is able to double the examination of children and seriously ill patients. The bed of the device is much larger in size, therefore it is able to withstand a patient with a large weight and examine claustrophobic people.

Expressing deep gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for an invaluable gift for the residents of maritime country – a modern hospital equipped with innovative technology, the doctor assured that medical workers will work tirelessly, ensuring the health of citizens.

The doctor of the computed tomography office, in his turn, familiarized the head of state with the equipment installed here. Thus, the computed tomography of Siemens German Company makes it possible to examine patients with high weight, study 64 sections and detect various disorders at an early stage, including brain tumors, circulatory disorders, etc. This apparatus is equipped with a new FAST CARE technology, which protects against harmful rays during the research.

Assuring that the staff of the multidisciplinary hospital will work hard to protect the health of our people, the doctor wished the head of state health and success in his activities.

Then President Serdar Berdimuhamedov went to the laboratory department, where the doctor presented the automated biochemical equipment of Siemens, German company. With the help of this biochemical analyzer, it is possible to conduct studies on the content of proteins, bilirubin, cholesterol and their fractions, enzymes, electrolytes, glucose, glycated hemoglobin in the blood.

Then the country’s President was introduced an amplifier manufactured in Malaysia, designed for high-precision quantitative and qualitative PCR analysis. This equipment is capable of carrying out biochemical diagnostics and research of hereditary diseases. The main advantage is the detection of viruses in the blood through DNA and RNA.

After completing the inspection, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov heads to the conference hall.

Addressing the audience, the head of state noted that a new multidisciplinary hospital equipped with advanced technology has been opened in Turkmenbashi city.

Then the floor was given to the Minister of Health and Medical Industry N.Amannepesov, who expressed deep gratitude to the head of state for the opening of a new medical complex and presented the celebration participants the international certificates awarded to the multidisciplinary hospital of Turkmenbashi city, in particular, the High Technologies Certificate of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), the High Quality Certificate of the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Environmental Friendly Hospital certificate of the Healthy Environment Foundation of Great Britain.

The awarded certificates and corresponding marks have become recognition of the high-quality multidisciplinary hospital, its compliance with international standards of environmental safety and high-tech medical equipment, which will give maximum effect in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases.

“Today’s opening of a 400-bed multi-specialty hospital in Turkmenbashi city of Balkan velayat is a clear evidence of the state’s concern for the health of its citizens,” President Serdar Berdimuhamedov continued.

Then the head of state focused the attention of managers and healthcare workers on the priority tasks they face.

In the near future, similar hospitals equipped with the most modern technology will be built and put into operation in Dashoguz, and then in Akhal velayats.

The hero-Arkadag fairly notes, “An unhealthy mother cannot have a healthy child”. Therefore, we must continue working to strengthen the physical and moral health of young people, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.

Emphasizing that in this regard, it is necessary to create a Center for combating somatic diseases left over from childhood in the structure of the General Directorate of International Medical Centers, the head of state noted the expediency of erecting this Center on a free square next to the capital’s International Center for Surgery and Endocrinology.

Addressing the Minister of Health and Medical Industry N.Amannepesov, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov drew attention to the fact that, taking into account the steadily growing number of citizens’ appeals to the Dental Center of the capital, there is a need to expand its areas, and therefore it is necessary to build another similar center in Ashgabat.

The head of state said that he considers it expedient to build a new Dental Center on vacant areas directly opposite the City Emergency Center and instructed Deputy Prime Minister S. Toilyev, the Minister of Health and Medical Industry, together with the khyakimlik of Ashgabat, to carry out the necessary work and submit proposals for the location and construction of a new Dental Center.

Having once again heartily congratulated the audience on the opening of the 400-bed new multi-specialty hospital in Turkmenbashi city of Balkan velayat and wishing that this hospital would guard the health of the people for a long time, the head of Turkmenistan leaves notes in an Honored Guest Book in memory of today’s significant event.
