Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates congratulated the newly elected President of Turkmenistan

Today, the telephone conversation took place between incumbent President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In the course of the trusted conversation, the head of the state informed that according to the outcome of the presidential elections of March 12 announced by the Central elections committee, Serdar Berdimuhamedov was elected new President of Turkmenistan. At that, the leader of the nation noted that he intends to continue his work actively but already in a new capacity –as Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.

Availing of the opportunity, incumbent President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his special attention and great personal contribution to the development of fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and UAE.

Having underlined that in recent years the sides have made all round efforts to expand and deepen relations between two brotherly countries, the head of the state expressed firm confidence in further development of long-term successful partnership in all growing interested fields.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, in his turn, congratulated the Turkmen leader with the presidential elections held on a wide alternative basis, the success of which have become another bright evidence of steady course of our country on the chosen path of democratic transformations.

Having pointed out that in recent years, namely under the leadership of national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sovereign Turkmenistan could reach unseen heights in all spheres augmenting its authority higher on the international arena, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan wished the incumbent head of Turkmenistan sound health and success in his new career.

Having expressed his acknowledgment for his kind words, the leader of the nation passed the receiver to newly elected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Having sincerely thanked Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his congratulations and best wishes in connection with his election to the highest state post, Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined that he intends to continue the policy of the incumbent President of the country. In particular, readiness for further intensification of interstate relations between Turkmenistan and UAE, development of new promising areas of cooperation, which initially was established on a long-term and mutually beneficial basis, was confirmed.

At the end of the telephone conversation, incumbent head of the state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, newly elected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged wishes of sound health and great success in their responsible state activity and brotherly peoples of friendly countries –peace, progress and prosperity.
