Presentation of the book “Abadançylygyň röwşen gadamlary” by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, published in Russian and English, was held today in a conference hall of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The event was attended by the heads of diplomatic representations and missions accredited in our country, the faculty and students of the capital’s universities.

Another work of the leader of the nation, published this year ongoing under the motto “People’s Epoch with Arkadag”, has become a wonderful gift to the people for the Day of Diplomatic Workers of Turkmenistan.

The new edition has replenished the extensive library of books by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, translated into foreign languages, which testifies to a deep respect for the head of Turkmen state, recognition of his great services in advancing universal peace and progress.

The book is a collection of speeches by the leader of the nation to the public. It included reflections on the foreign policy, economy, culture, science and other areas, as well as many proposals for further development of Turkmenistan. At the same time, the idea of the publication is to cover the events of the independence period not only in the context of history, but also the future of the country.

The event participants noted that thanks to the unprecedented efforts by the President of Turkmenistan, our Homeland is now known in the world as a state committed to mutually beneficial and equal cooperation, the principles of positive neutrality, peacefulness, goodwill and humanism. Successfully implementing the policy of maintaining global peace, prosperity and sustainable development, our country is systematically developing productive relations with the world community, significantly contributing to addressing topical issues of our time.

The speakers emphasized that the proposal of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to promote the Global Initiative “Dialogue - a Guarantee of Peace” is aimed at joining efforts of all countries to strengthen the traditions of peaceful coexistence of the peoples, shaping a culture of peace and trust in relationships. Based on scrutinized political criteria, healthy and positive pragmatism, and universally recognized and understandable human values, the new philosophy is a significant factor influencing the positive development of international economic and political processes.

A special emphasis was made on the fact that the development of a culture of peace and trust in relations between states is inextricably linked with the policy of neutrality that promotes sustainable development, strengthening peace and security.

The key lines of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan include the expansion of cooperation with the countries all around the planet, as well as with large authoritative organizations, primarily with the United Nations. Fulfilling all undertakings under bilateral and multilateral international agreements, treaties and conventions, our country fully and strictly follows its obligations, comprehensively using its impressive political, economic and cultural potential for peace and progress.

An important place in the book is designated for regional issues, which comprise the speeches by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the 3rd Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, the Summits of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Economic Cooperation Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Commonwealth of Independent States and other forums, where the idea stands out to start specific and economically substantiated collaboration in key areas of modern development, the implementation of bilateral and multilateral infrastructure projects.

The publication provides assessments of the constructive potential of Turkmen neutrality as the most important factor of stability, which already today goes beyond the national and regional framework. In this context, the speakers highlighted that the policy of neutrality is assigned a key role in the successful foreign policy activities of the country in the fields of environment preservation, energy security, transport and communications, culture, humanities, etc.

As foreign diplomats emphasized, the book “Abadançylygyň röwşen gadamlary” arouses great interest among both scientists and the widest range of readers, being the most important documentary source reflecting the historical significance of Turkmen sovereignty.

Truly invaluable in meaning and content, the book is a graphic illustration of the grandiose achievements of Turkmenistan, rapid sovereign development of the country, socio-economic progress of which is inextricably linked with the name of the head of state.

At the end of the presentation, its participants adopted an Address of Appreciation, in which they expressed deep gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for showing love for the Homeland and native people.
