An important stage of the election campaign is gaining momentum in Turkmenistan – meetings of candidates for the President of Turkmenistan with voters. Candidates travel to various provinces of the country and, in accordance with the Electoral Code, use the equal rights and opportunities granted to them for freedom of campaigning, speaking to the electorate, which is a clear evidence of the triumph of the democracy principles.

Today, a meeting of voters with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov, nominated by the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan as a candidate for the President of Turkmenistan, took place in the conference hall of the khyakimlik of the Lebap velayat.

Representatives of labor collectives of enterprises, public organizations, farmers, honorary elders and gray-haired mothers gathered in the hall to meet with the candidate for the highest state post.

Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the Lebap velayat Committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan M.Dosmedov gave the floor to the candidate’s confidant, O.Chopanova, a resident of Turkmenabat city, who acquainted the audience with the main milestones of Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s biography, noting his extensive experience in various fields, high professionalism and organizational skills, initiative and responsible approach in solving urgent problems of modern development of the country, devotion to the interests of the Fatherland.

The candidate for the country’s President, spoken afterwards, expressed gratitude to the Turkmen people for the high confidence they had given. Familiarizing the audience with the election program, the candidate for the highest state position identified the continuation of the cardinal reforms initiated in Turkmenistan, designed to ensure the progressive prosperity of the Motherland, social protection of the population, and strengthen the authority of our state on the world stage as a priority direction of state policy.

At the same time, the successful implementation of the Program developed at the initiative of the leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and adopted at the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh on February 11 of this year – “Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State: The National Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052” was called as the main task.

Among the transformations aimed at the future, the candidate for the highest state post outlined the development of the gas and chemical sector of the economy on an integrated basis due to the rational use of the huge resource potential of the industry, the construction of new specialized industrial enterprises in the velayat.

It was also noted that great attention will be paid to the formation of a modern transport system and the construction industry in the region, through the territory of which the Silk Road once ran.

The candidate for the President of Turkmenistan placed special emphasis on the fact that the workers of this region grow rich harvests of cotton, wheat, vegetables and melons. In this context, the creation of food abundance, ensuring stable growth of agricultural production through the expansion and support of daikhan associations, their complete technical re-equipment, modernization of all structures of the agro-industrial complex, construction of modern processing enterprises, improvement of social and living conditions of rural workers were named among the primary tasks.

Tourism was named among the priority vectors, for the development of which there are all opportunities here. In this context, it was emphasized that the Lebap velayat, known for its historical and cultural monuments and nature reserves of state, regional and world significance, unique beauties, is of particular interest to tourists from all over the world.

Reconstruction of highways of the velayat, creation of new jobs, construction of residential complexes, new villages, modern educational and healthcare institutions, various infrastructure facilities are also identified as urgent tasks.

It is noteworthy, the candidate for the post of President of Turkmenistan said, that a large group of athletes brought up in the region successfully performed at national and international competitions, thereby raising the sporting image of the Motherland. In this regard, special attention in the future will be paid to the creation, both in the country and in the eastern region, of all conditions for mass physical culture and health movement, the development of high-performance sports.

During the detailed conversation, the candidate answered the questions of the meeting participants, explaining some provisions of his election platform concerning the prospects for the development of agriculture, the business sector by providing comprehensive support to small and medium-sized enterprises, the construction complex, and the creation of new jobs.

Thanking the audience for their attention, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov assured the audience in the case of his election to the highest state post, he will selflessly and tirelessly work for the sake of the further prosperity of the Motherland.

This morning, a meeting of voters with the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Khydyr Nunnaev, nominated for the post of President of Turkmenistan by the initiative group, took place in the meeting room of the khyakimlik of Dashoguz velayat.

Having opened the meeting, the teacher of the secondary school#13 of the Gerogly etrap of Dashoguz velayat D.Atamedov gave the floor to the candidate’s confidant – the head of the Department of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports Ch.Sylapov, who, after familiarizing himself with the candidate’s work biography, described him as a politically literate, hardworking and responsive person with sufficient experience in teaching and educating the younger generation, actively involving young people in physical education and sports, a healthy lifestyle, and scientific research.

The candidate for the highest state post, who spoke further, outlined to the voters the main provisions of his election program. It is based on the desire in a new era to continue the large-scale transformations initiated by the leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which led to a significant increase in the welfare of the people, ensured high rates of development of the country and allowed to reach qualitatively new frontiers in many sectors of the national economy.

Among the main directions of the state’s development, the candidate named the widespread introduction of scientific and technical innovations in all spheres of life, the diversification of the economy based on innovative technological development, the continuation of large-scale modernization of agriculture and increasing yields through the introduction of new technologies, the further development of culture, sports, healthcare and education, the intensification of scientific research, housing construction, new modern schools and preschool institutions, cultural facilities, healthcare, stadiums and sports schools, highways, engineering and technical communications in all regions of the country.

All necessary measures will be taken to implement the planned state programs, including the National Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052, the development of the construction sector, the construction of new villages and cities, including Ashgabat City.

The candidate’s election program pays special attention to the issues of further improving the socio-economic standard of living of all segments of the country’s population, national culture, preservation and promotion of the nation’s historical and cultural heritage of global importance.

At the end of his speech, Khydyr Nunnaev, answering the questions of voters interested in energy policy, ways of developing the oil and gas complex, rational use of land resources, further improvement of the agricultural sector, measures to improve the socio-economic standard of living of the rural population, the development of digitalization and other areas, assured that if he is elected as the President of Turkmenistan, he will use all his strength, knowledge and experience to justify the high trust.

In the afternoon, a meeting of voters with the candidate for the post of President of Turkmenistan, Maksatmyrat Ovezgeldiyev, the head of the sanitary and epidemiological service of the Babadaykhan etrap of the Ahal velayat, nominated by an initiative group of citizens, took place here.

Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly of Ruhubelent etrap, Ya.Atabayev gave the floor to the candidate’s proxy – Chairman of the Ahal velayat Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly M.Orazberdiyev, who acquainted the audience with the work biography of Maksatmyrat Ovezgeldiyev and noted his professional and personal qualities, initiative, exactingness, high organizational abilities.

Then the candidate for the President of Turkmenistan, thanking those gathered in the hall for their active participation in today’s meeting, acquainted them with the main provisions of his election program aimed at further strengthening the status of Turkmenistan as a socially oriented state, strengthening its international authority, developing mutually beneficial cooperation and trade, friendly relations with other states, modernization and further sustainable development of the economy, improving the living conditions of the population.

The candidate’s election program outlines measures to continue the course of development of all major industries, including chemical and oil and gas, increasing the production and export of oil and gas, improving the fields of science, education, culture, health, tourism, environmental protection, support for small and medium-sized businesses, processing of various agricultural crops into final quality products, import substitution programs and creating food abundance, providing the population with environmentally friendly food.

The most important priority of the state policy remains the care of people, and all the large-scale work carried out on the development of the economy will promote the steady growth of the welfare of the population.
