Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip around the capital, having been acquainted with the progress of work on the further development of urban infrastructure, as well as the start of construction of the next stage of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed autobahn.

In the early morning, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took a helicopter to the construction site of the next stage of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway, which started from the territory of the Babadaykhan etrap.

During the working trip, the head of state, flying around the southern part of the capital by helicopter, got acquainted with the construction works that are being carried out in the expanses of the foothills.

The construction of the Makhtumkuli Fragi cultural and park complex in the south of the capital, which has been developing harmoniously in recent years, is at the final stage. From the height of the rotorcraft flight, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the territory of the complex, created in honor of the great thinker and poet, where work is currently underway on its beautification and landscaping, designed to enhance the image of Ashgabat as a blooming garden city, to maintain a high level of ecology.

The head of state inspected the reservoir for collecting rain and mudflow waters, which is being built in this part of the city by specialists of the Joint Stock Company PO Vozrozhdenie (Russian Federation), a long-time partner of our country.

At present, in accordance with the instructions of the head of state, mudflows and a drainage basin are being built here at a high pace using scientifically based solutions and best practices in this area.

Then the helicopter of the leader of the nation held a course for south-west of the capital. Modern residential complexes have been built in this part of the city that meet today’s requirements. During the flight, the head of Turkmenistan got acquainted with the construction of the Gurtli residential complex, the implementation of large-scale transformations aimed at ensuring a prosperous life of the people.

From here, the helicopter of the country’s President headed to the north of the capital, where, as is known, the construction of various facilities, including social, cultural amenities, as well as business centers, continues at a high pace.

On the territory near the Ashgabat International Airport, where the Garagum Hotel with a multidisciplinary business center is located, construction of facilities intended to become an ornament of our capital in the future is actively underway.

Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov continued the flyby, heading to the site of the start of construction of the next stage of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway.

On the way, the leader of the nation got acquainted with the works being carried out on the agricultural lands of the Ak Bugdai etrap of the Ahal velayat. Currently, daihans have a responsible season. In the etrap, they started sowing spring potatoes in an organized manner. Today, spring field work is being carried out here, as everywhere else, at an accelerated pace.

Along with the planting of potatoes, plowing, leveling of land, cleaning of irrigation channels are carried out, which indicates the growing desire of tenants to get high yields. Thus, the work that has unfolded in the fields continues on a comprehensive basis.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov first got acquainted with the progress of work being carried out on agricultural land near the new highway, talked with a mechanic and a tenant farmer engaged in sowing potatoes at the site of the Daikhan Association named after Yusup Gurbanov.

The mechanic of the Obahyzmat etrap production enterprise M.Geldiev told the head of state about his work, the peculiarities of planting potatoes and the productivity of modern agricultural machinery.

Having inquired about working conditions, everyday life, wages, the leader of the nation emphasized that the state provides the necessary support to agricultural workers who make a worthy contribution to strengthening food abundance in the country, thereby promoting the successful solution of tasks to improve the social welfare of the people.

M.Geldiev, who has been working as a machine operator since 2016, on behalf of his colleagues expressed gratitude to the country’s President for the conditions created for productive work and the periodic purchase of powerful equipment.

In an talk with the tenant working here, O.Yagmyrov, the leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov asked about the marital status, work and issues of supplying tenants with everything necessary.

O.Yagmyrov said that he has been working as a tenant in this Daikhan Association for 12 years. As noted, all measures are being taken to obtain a high yield from the 5 hectares of land assigned to the tenant. The farmer also said that this year he has prepared land for potatoes of the local variety – Gala, which corresponds to the soil and climatic conditions of the area.

At the request of the farmers, taking a picture with them as a souvenir, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the mechanic each seed would grow a hundredfold. In his turn, he expressed sincere gratitude to the leader of the nation and continued sowing potatoes, which will decorate the dastarkhans of the Turkmen people.

Then the President of the country arrived at the beginning of the Tejen-Mary section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat autobahn, where samples of powerful construction equipment from leading world manufacturers were presented, which has been actively used in the implementation of road transport infrastructure projects in recent years. These are various types of compactors, bulldozers, earthmoving machines, graders and others that meet high modern requirements.

The head of state asked about the features and functional characteristics of the equipment demonstrated here from the world’s leading manufacturers. According to its parameters, it belongs to a new generation of equipment used in modern road construction, it is economical and environmentally friendly. The special system installed in them includes automated control and measuring equipment.

Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov talked with the builders of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat autobahn, who expressed sincere gratitude to Arkadag for creating all conditions for fruitful work and recreation.

Highlighting the importance of the successful implementation of the country’s road construction program, strengthening the role of Turkmenistan as a key transport and transit hub in the world, the head of state noted huge opportunities to be opening up for the development of public-private partnership, the introduction of effective farming methods, and the rational use of vast natural resources. The leader of the nation wished success to the road builders who make a worthy contribution to the development of the transport and logistics system of Turkmenistan.

Then the leader of the nation gave his blessing to the beginning of asphalting of the Tejen-Mary section of the expressway. Inspired with these words, the road workers set to work, using powerful equipment.

The leader of the nation also got acquainted with the schemes of new highway routes, with detailed projects for the construction of facilities along the road line, vehicle maintenance stations.

Cabinet Deputy Chairman Ch.Gylyjov and the head of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs D.Khudaiberdiyev reported on the construction projects of the first stage of the 203 km long Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed autobahn, the construction of social facilities, small payment terminals and service facilities.

Social facilities, car service areas and payment terminals will be built along this highway, and underground passages for animals will be provided. All this will strengthen road safety.

In addition, there were presented diagrams of the types and locations of crossings over the railway tracks of the high-speed highway, mudflow drainages, as well as bridges that will be built in the Mary velayat across the Karakum River.

Car service stations will be equipped with apparatus from the world’s leading manufacturers.

Currently, with the support of the state, entrepreneurs are doing a lot of work in various sectors of the economy, building and commissioning modern housing, schools, kindergartens, sports complexes and many other social facilities in all regions of the country.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was acquainted in detail with the submitted projects and drawings, made a number of comments and made appropriate adjustments.

Having inquired about the stages of construction of the high-speed highway, the head of state focused on the need to use advanced experience and innovative technologies in the construction of roads, which is the main today’s requirement. In this regard, the compliance of the work carried out with international standards was identified as a key task.

The implementation of the project for the construction of a new highway will promote solving the tasks of developing transport and transit corridors of Turkmenistan and integrating the country into the regional and international system of multimodal relations, the effective use of its geo-economic potential, the head of state said, addressing a number of specific instructions to the Cabinet Deputy Chairman Ch.Gylyjov and Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs D.Khudaiberdiyev.

Wishing great success to all road workers engaged in a noble cause not only for our country, but also for the region as a whole, the head of state left the venue, directing his car towards the capital.

Among the priority tasks set by the head of state for the near future, a planned connection to the global transport system, a significant increase in infrastructure facilities along the main highways connecting roads and centers in the East-West and North-South directions.

One of the characteristic features of the new road is that it passes through the territory of Karakums – one of the largest deserts in the world, characterized by a kind of natural beauty. Today, thanks to the selfless activity of the President of the country, great importance is attached to maintaining an optimal ecological balance in all corners of the country, as well as the rational use of natural resources, which ensures universal well-being.

On the way along the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway, the head of state stopped at a gas station near the Kerwensaraý cultural and entertainment center, located along the Ashgabat-Tejen section of the high-speed highway.

Cordially greeting the leader of the nation, the gas station employee spoke about the created work opportunities and expressed deep gratitude to the Arkadag President.

Having carefully acquainted with the working conditions of the tankers, the head of state inquired about their family life. Everything necessary is being done in our country for a happy and prosperous life of people, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined, noting that work in this direction will continue.

Wishing the specialists of the gas station further success in their work, the head of Turkmenistan departed the venue by helicopter.
