Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system, which was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial complex and the hyakims of the velayats.
The agenda included priority tasks of the socio-economic development of the regions, the course of seasonal agricultural work, as well as other topical issues of state life.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, the head of state noted that the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, held last week, adopted the Resolutions “On zoning of agricultural crops and production in velayats in 2022” and “On growing a high cotton yield in Turkmenistan in 2022”, along with the Order on approval of water use limits in velayats and etraps for the current year.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov first called the Hyakim of Ahal velayat Y. Gurbanov, who reported on the state of affairs in the region, including in the agro-industrial sector.
The total area for growing crops in Ahal velayat this year is 362,610 hectares, including 135,000 hectares allocated for cotton, from which it is planned to get 280,000 tons of crops. Cereals are grown on 195 thousand hectares.
13.1 thousand hectares are allocated for potatoes, 9.38 thousand hectares for vegetables, 3.32 thousand hectares for melons, 2.51 thousand hectares for legumes and sesame, 1.6 thousand hectares - for corn and feed grasses.
Further, the hyakim of the Balkan velayat T. Atahallyev reported on the progress of work in the western region, the state of affairs on agricultural land. In this context, report was given on the preparation for the spring sowing of cotton and other crops, carried out within the framework of the relevant Decrees of the head of Turkmenistan, on the steps taken to solve the tasks set to increase the production of vegetables and melons in order to meet the demand of the population for vitamin products.
This year, the total area of land allocated in the velayat for the cultivation of crops is 71.43 thousand hectares, of which 10 thousand hectares are intended for growing the “white gold”. The necessary measures are being taken to care, in accordance with agrotechnical standards, for winter wheat crops, which are located on 50,000 hectares of land.
This year, 3 thousand hectares have been allocated for sowing sugar beets, 2.9 thousand hectares for potatoes, 4.06 thousand hectares for vegetables, 2.62 thousand hectares for melons, 0.05 thousand hectares for legumes and sesame, 0.2 thousand ha for corn and annual grasses.
The working meeting continued with the report of the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat N. Nazarmyradov, who reported on the state of affairs in the region, the pace of work carried out in the agro-industrial complex, including caring for winter crops, preparing cotton and other crops for spring sowing.
Effective measures are being taken to obtain a high yield of wheat, sown on 145,000 hectares of land in autumn last year. This year, 324.02 thousand hectares have been allocated for the cultivation of agricultural crops in the velayat, of which 140 thousand hectares are for cotton.
8.1 thousand hectares are allocated for growing rice, 8.8 thousand hectares for potatoes, 7.405 thousand hectares for vegetables, 3.745 thousand hectares for melons, 8.27 thousand hectares for legumes and sesame, corn and annual grasses - 1.7 thousand ha.
Then, Hyakim of Lebap velayat Sh. Amangeldiyev reported on the state of affairs in the entrusted region, the course of current agricultural work, in particular, on the implementation of agrotechnical measures on agricultural land.
As reported, this year, the motto of which is “The era of the people with Arkadag,” it is planned to cultivate crops on 263 thousand 133 hectares of land. In particular, 130,000 hectares will be sown with cotton in the velayat.
It is planned to grow rice on 10.2 thousand hectares of sown land, potatoes on 2.3 thousand hectares, vegetables on 3 thousand 950 hectares, gourds on 2.1 thousand hectares, legumes and sesame on 3 thousand 320 hectares and corn and annual grasses on 2.3 thousand hectares respectively.
At present, according to the norms of agricultural technology, care continues for winter grains, which occupy 130 thousand hectares.
Further, Hyakim of Mary Velayat D. Annaberdiev reported on the work carried out in the agricultural sector. In particular, a report was made on the ongoing agrotechnical measures to take care of winter wheat crops, prepare land, specialized equipment and inventory for the spring sowing of cotton.
The head of the regional administration said that this year 366,670 hectares of agricultural land were allocated for the cultivation of crops in the velayat, of which 165,000 hectares - for cotton.
In addition, 14.9 thousand hectares will be sown with sugar beets, 12.9 thousand hectares with potatoes, 8.605 thousand hectares with vegetables, 4.315 thousand hectares with gourds, 2.35 thousand hectares with legumes and sesame, 1.5 thousand hectares - corn and annual grasses.
These days, industrious farmers of the region, in accordance with the norms of agricultural technology, take care of grains located on an area of 170,000 hectares.
Further, at the digital system meeting, reports were heard on the areas under sowing of spring and winter potatoes and vegetable and gourd crops and the volume of production in Turkmenistan in 2022.
The first report by hyakim of Akhal velayat highlighted that that these agricultural crops are planned to be planted on 28,310 hectares in the region.
Then hyakim of the Balkan velayat reported that the total area under crops of spring and winter potatoes and vegetable and melon crops in the region will be 9,630 hectares.
In turn, the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat said that during the sowing campaign this year, 28,220 hectares of land will be sown with the above-mentioned agricultural crops in the region.
Further, the hyakim of the Lebap velayat informed that 11,670 hectares were allocated for sowing spring and winter potatoes and vegetable and melon crops in the region.
Then the hyakim of Mary Velayat gave a report on the ongoing work aimed at sowing 28 thousand 170 hectares of land in the region in 2022 with these types of crops and obtaining their high yields.
In continuation of the working meeting, the hyakims of the velayats reported on the size of the areas allocated for cotton crops and the volume of production of the “white gold” crop, as well as on the amount of mineral fertilizers intended for cotton fields.
The hyakim of Ahal velayat said that it is planned to sow 135,000 hectares of valuable industrial crops in the region and get 280,000 tons of raw material. At the same time, it is planned to use appropriate fertilizers to feed the crops.
The hyakim of the Balkan velayat reported that it is planned to sow 10,000 hectares of cotton in the western region and get a harvest of “white gold” of 10,000 tons. To insure the successful implementation of these plans, plants will be fed with mineral fertilizers in the required volumes.
Hyakim of Dashoguz velayat noted in his report that in the northern region it is planned to sow 140,000 hectares with valuable industrial crops and procure 275,000 tons of raw cotton. At the same time, mineral fertilizers will be applied in the required volumes.
In his turn, the hyakim of Lebap Velayat reported on plans for the current year. Thus, 130,000 hectares will be sown with cotton here, from which it is planned to produce 320,000 tons of high-quality raw cotton. This task is set for local farmers-tenants. The necessary volumes of mineral fertilizers will be used to feed the plants.
The hyakim of the Mary velayat reported that 165,000 hectares will be sown with cotton this spring in the region. It is planned to harvest 365,000 tons of valuable raw material from this area. Appropriate fertilizers will be applied to the soil to feed the crops.
Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiyev reported on the state of affairs in the agricultural complex, the implementation of seasonal activities in the agro-industrial complex, and the adoption of targeted steps to ensure food abundance in the country.
In accordance with the Decree of the head of state “On zoning of agricultural crops and production of goods in velayats in 2022”, necessary work is being carried out in the regions to distribute crops by their types and prepare for the upcoming sowing of the lands allotted for them, the total area of which is 1 million 403 thousand 120 hectares.
In addition, according to this document, it is planned to sow 106,000 hectares of potatoes, melons and vegetables, including 65,000 hectares of spring crops and 41,000 hectares of winter crops. Thus, this year the land area allocated for these purposes is increased by 50,450 hectares. Currently, preparations are underway for sowing fields, seed material, specialized equipment and inventory.
According to the Decree of the leader of the nation “On growing a high cotton yield in Turkmenistan in 2022”, it is planned to sow this valuable industrial crop on 580 thousand hectares to produce 1 million 250 thousand tons of “white gold”. At present, plowing of fields and complex preparations for the sowing campaign are being carried out in the velayats.
Along with this, the grain growers of the regions, taking into account weather conditions, carry out vegetative irrigation and feeding with mineral fertilizers on 690,000 hectares of fields where cereals are grown.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the work carried out, in accordance with the Water Code of Turkmenistan, in order to effectively and rationally use water resources, provide water to the population, agricultural producers, industry and other users.
The Leader of the Nation noted the need for widespread introduction of water-saving technologies into the domestic agricultural industry, continuation of work on the revival of the centuries-old traditions of our ancestors, who have accumulated extensive experience in irrigated agriculture, on a program basis.
This will give impetus to increase the yield of cultivated crops per hectare, optimal implementation of the colossal potential of the agro-industrial complex, the head of state said, in this context, addressing a number of specific assignments to the vice-premier and hyakims of the velayats.
Concluding the working meeting on the digital system, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished all participants good health, family well-being and great success in their work for the sake of prosperity of the sovereign Motherland, prosperous and happy life of the people.
