The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a briefing on the results of the recent working trips of the Turkmen delegation to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of India on the instruction of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
As noted, the prospects for the development of the organizational structure of the Dialogue, as well as the issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation between the countries, the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline projects, transport corridor Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Oman were considered within the framework of the third meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asia - India Dialogue in New Delhi.
In the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the delegation of our country took part in the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation dedicated to the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan. The final Resolution adopted on the initiative of Turkmenistan includes provisions on the need to continue economic cooperation in order to improve the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan and the implementation in this regard of major energy, transport and communication projects designed to improve the well-being of the Afghan people.
A briefing with the participation of the heads of diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan accredited in foreign states was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to study of the experience of foreign countries in preventing the entry and the spread of coronavirus infection in the country.
As noted, the protection of human health is a priority of the state policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In this context, the international initiatives of the leader of the nation aimed at further developing and strengthening cooperation with specialized structures and agencies of the United Nations, in particular with the World Health Organization are of particular importance.
