On November 27, at the International airport of the capital President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, who arrived in Turkmenistan for participation in the XV Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
The President of Turkmenistan and the head of the government of Kazakhstan were photographed against the background of National flags of two countries.
Having thanked for the accorded hearty welcome, the guest conveyed to head of the state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov warm words of greeting and wish of successful Summit from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokaev.
Welcoming the head of the government of the friendly country, the Turkmen leader conveyed his best regards to President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokaev and to all Kazakh people, with satisfaction having stated a high level of established fruitful interstate dialogue which successfully develops both on bilateral, and multilateral basis – within the framework of the largest international organisations and authoritative regional structures.
Prime Minister Askar Mamin expressed his gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the organisation of the present high-level meeting, having underlined that Kazakhstan entirely supports an active and constructive position of Turkmenistan in the solution of actual modern problems and its important international initiatives answering to the purposes of maintenance of peace and security.
During the conversation the sides exchanged opinions on the agenda of XV ECO Summit for discussion of which the major issues connected with further development of trade and economic relations, as well as global and regional cooperation were included.
During discussion of the condition and prospects of the Turkmen-Kazakhstan relations issues of fulfilment of the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokaev to Ashgabat in October, this year as well as prospects of enhancement of partnership in such strategic directions as transport-logistics and energy spheres were mentioned.
At the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin expressed confidence that the Turkmen-Kazakhstan mutual relations will be developed further successfully for the benefit of two friendly fraternal peoples.
After performance of hymns of two states, the head of the government of Kazakhstan left for the residence designated for him.
