On October 30, the farmers of Dashoguz velayat reported on the completion of wheat sowing in the region, having utilized 690 thousand hectares of land allotted in the country for winter grains.

Turkmen farmers prepared for this responsible campaign with particular care, having timely plowed and fertilized agricultural lands intended for next year's wheat harvest. High-quality seeds of such high-yield varieties of wheat as Bereketli, Goşant, Rowaç, Hasylly, Sähraýy, Ýolöten-3, Watan, Juwan, Ýokumly, "Ýolöten-1", "Miras" were prepared in advance.

In general, 1972 plowing machines, 1545 row-crop tractors and seeders from such leading world companies as John Deere, CLAAS, Case, as well as other equipment providing high productivity of farmers were involved in the current sowing campaign in Turkmenistan.

It should be emphasized that today the tasks of technical and technological modernization of the industry are being solved on innovative basis, taking into account the Concept of Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan. In particular, high-performance special equipment brands "John Deere" (USA) and "CLAAS" (Germany), purchased by our country in 2013-2019, will be gradually equipped with a telematic digital electronic control system.

Good harvest is also ensured by the use of high-quality varieties of crops, resistant to diseases and pests, adapted to local soil and climatic conditions.

Effective steps have been taken to diversify agriculture. In addition to grain and cotton cultivation, livestock, poultry, vegetable growing, horticulture, viticulture, melon growing, beekeeping and other types of agricultural business are actively developing in the country.

This year, marked by a glorious date - the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, grain growers have successfully fulfilled their contractual obligations. Next year it is planned to procure 1 million 400 thousand tons of wheat in the Fatherland. A high-profile, highly efficient agricultural campaign gives confidence that these commitments will be successfully met.
