Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip, during which he visited the southern part of the capital, which has been harmoniously developing in recent years, where he got acquainted with the works that have entered the final stage around the cultural and park complex of Magtymguly Fraghi. The issues of improving the territory of the complex, created in honor of the great poet and thinker, landscaping and turning these places into a blooming garden and, thus, maintaining a high level of ecology in the capital, are in the constant focus of the leader of the nation.

Efforts to create a unique architectural appearance of the Turkmen capital that meet the spirit of modernity and advanced international standards are yielding positive results. Ashgabat is increasingly strengthening its position as a city that combines beauty and comfortable living conditions, is distinguished by original architectural solutions of buildings that have been repeatedly noted in the Guinness Book of Records, which is evidence of the exemplary work carried out in the main city of the country for the whole world.

Early in the morning, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived at the cultural and park complex of Magtymguly Fraghi to the monument of the poet-philosopher.

The leader of the nation got acquainted with the progress of work on the improvement of the territory around the complex, which is a symbol of the great love of the Turkmen people for the outstanding Master of the Word.

In recent years, a number of architectural complexes have been built and commissioned in the southern part of Ashgabat, distinguished by the originality of its natural landscape. Their creation of holistic harmony, the appearance of park zones, along with enhancing the beauty of the white marble capital, contributes to an increase in the level of ecological well-being.

Deputy Prime Minister E. Orazgeldiev reported on the cultural and park complex of Magtymguly Fraghi being created here, land plots designated for planting tree seedlings and their types.

The head of state, having familiarized himself with the presented projects and drawings, made a number of comments and made appropriate adjustments to them. The President of Turkmenistan also drew attention to the compliance of tree seedlings planned for planting in the cultural and park complex and near it to the soil and climatic conditions of the southern corner of the capital, stressing the need for a scientific approach to their selection.

Noting that the cultural and park complex of Magtymguly Fraghi, famous for his magnificent works all over the world, and the improvement of the adjacent territories should correspond to modern architectural solutions, the leader of the nation gave the Deputy Prime Minister a number of specific instructions in this regard.

The objects under construction here should create a single harmony with the nature of the foothills of the Kopetdag, and when preparing their projects, it should be guided by advanced modern experience, traditions of national architecture and should take into account the originality of the local nature.

Further, Deputy Prime Minister Ch. Purchekov reported on the general plan of the cultural and park complex of Magtymguly Fraghi, projects and drawings of objects planned for placement on its territory, paths leading to it and lighting systems. As noted, the objects planned for construction on the territory of the complex with an area of 13.5 hectares, as well as engineering and technical systems, the road transport component and lighting should create a single harmony.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, focusing on the issues of improvement and transformation of the territory of the complex and the surrounding area into a blooming garden, instructed to keep the concern about the issues related to the cleanliness and ecologicyof this corner of the capital in the center of unremitting attention.

The head of state, giving specific instructions on the announcement of tender for improvement of the cultural and park complex of Magtymguly Fraghi, drew attention to the importance of applying modern best practices and innovative methods in the construction and beautification of the complex in honor of the poet-thinker, who is the national pride of the Turkmen people.

Noting the importance of taking into account innovative ideas, including those coming from young people, especially students and teachers of specialized universities, the leader of the nation recommended combining them with national architectural traditions and principles of modern urban planning, and gave specific instructions to the relevant leaders in this regard. When preparing a plan for the upcoming work on improving the complex, it is necessary to take into account the requirements of the present time, the head of state emphasized.

This complex should become a great monument, ascending from earth to heaven. It should reflect the centuries-old deep historical roots of the Turkmen people and the noble activities carried out in the present. As the leader of the nation noted, the complex should be beautiful and graceful, as the lyric poetry of Magtymguly Fraghi himself is exemplary for the whole world, and instructed to be guided by these principles.

Also, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, noting the importance of using innovative technologies in the cultural and park complex, drew attention to the need to use various lighting equipment, with the help of which it would be possible to highlight the lines of the world famous poems of the great Fraga placed on the hills, and instructed to take a responsible and comprehensive approach to successful solution of these tasks.

Noting that in the year that has the motto "Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust", 70 objects of various purposes were commissioned, the head of state stressed that all these works correspond to high indicators. At the same time, the construction of the complex bearing the name of the poet who has earned great love not only of our people, but also of the peoples of many countries with his outstanding works, the improvement of the adjacent territory should be a model for the whole world, the President of Turkmenistan said.

The leader of the nation noted that in this area, during the autumn gardening campaign, it is necessary to plant scientifically proven tree saplings. Various tree species should be planted on the territory of the cultural and park complex of Magtymguly Fraghi, which are designed to ensure the ecological well-being of this natural corner, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, giving specific instructions to the relevant leaders on this matter.

The leader of the nation noted the expediency of holding the autumn season of mass tree planting campaign here. All this is important in achieving compliance of the cultural and park complex of the poet-thinker, who left an unfading mark in history and deserved the love of the peoples of the East with his works, with modern indicators. When creating forest zones in this area, it is necessary to take into account the weather characteristics and natural conditions of the foothills and hills.

Focusing on the progress of construction work carried out in the southern part of Ashgabat, as well as in all corners of the capital and the country as a whole, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted the need to attach great importance to the improvement of the territory adjacent to the complex being built here, the modernization of the lighting system, and instructed to keep it under constant control carried out in this direction of work.

As it is known, large-scale transformations that have unfolded in the southern part of the capital are one of the main directions of the architectural and urban planning program. The work carried out here on an integrated basis is aimed at its successful implementation.

In the construction work and reforms implemented in the era of power and happiness on the initiative and with the active participation of the head of state, the important place is given to the environmental aspect. Thus, the work carried out in the southern part of the capital, in conjunction with the construction of mudflow diverters and mudflow protection systems, is being carried out at a high pace and is effective. All this is another proof that in the capital, as well as throughout the country, special importance is attached to the construction of facilities of social and environmental significance.

From the height of the site at the foot of the grandiose Magtymguly Fraghi monument, erected in the foothills of the majestic Kopetdag, like the palm of your hand, the beautiful white marble capital can be seen. In recent years, the appearance of the main city of our country has changed beyond recognition. All this is a visible confirmation of the successful implementation of the transformation programs of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the development of our capital. Modern buildings, harmoniously combined with the natural features of this corner of the city, create a picture that is mesmerizing in its beauty.

Today, thanks to the direct support of the leader of the nation, measures are being successfully implemented to improve the main city of the country and its environs, to maintain a comfortable ecological environment in it.

Speaking about the importance of achieving the unity of the architectural ensemble of objects erected on the site of the formation of the business and social infrastructure of the capital, the head of state addressed specific instructions to the relevant leaders in this regard.

As for the Magtymguly Fraghi cultural and park complex, its construction with the improvement of the adjacent territories should be completed in 2022, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, stressing that the opening of this facility would be right to coincide with the annual Culture Week on the occasion of the Day of Culture and Art Workers, and day of poetry of Magtymguly Fraghi. Therefore, all the work planned for this should be performed optimally and in accordance with the best international standards, the head of state noted and gave a number of specific instructions to the relevant leaders, as well as to Deputy Prime Minister M. Mammedova.

In 2024, the 300th anniversary of the greatest poet and philosopher of the Turkmen people will be solemnly celebrated. The opening of the complex being built on this site next year will give a kind of start to grandiose celebrations in honor of the outstanding classic. In addition, we will declare 2024 the Year of Magtymguly Fragi, which will be an expression of great respect for the great personality, the leader of the nation said.

Environmental protection, respect for nature, preservation of its beauty and wealth for future generations are the priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan.

At present, the construction of mudflows and drainage basins is also underway at an intensive pace. In this context, the head of state emphasized that when building a mudflow protection system in the south of Ashgabat, it is necessary to use scientifically grounded solutions and be guided by the best world practice in this area, having given a number of instructions in this regard.

Thus, the main goals of the environmental strategy, consistently implemented in our country under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, are to ensure intensive economic growth through efficient and rational use of natural resources, improve the welfare of the Turkmen people, coordinate international efforts in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
