Today on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of independence of the Fatherland, on order of the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the ceremony of presentation of the prestigious state awards to the military servicemen and workers of the military and law enforcement bodies of the country was held.

The venue for the ceremony was a situated in the south-west part of Turkmen capital the magnificent memorial complex «Halk hakydasy». To honor the unparalleled feat of the national heroes, who gave blood for country – is the eloquent testimony of the firm commitment of our people to its moral and spiritual values and the centuries-old traditions, inherent high ideals.

Besides, in accordance with the Decrees signed by the head of the state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a group of the military servicemen and workers of the military and law enforcement bodies of Turkmenistan was conferred the military and special ranks, as well as the class ranks for the impeccable and stalwart devotion to the Motherland, their people, for the dedicated fulfilment of the sacred military duty.

With a feeling of tumid pride, receiving the awards, the participants of ceremony, who twisted fortune with a defence of the beloved Fatherland, kneeling down, kiss the sacred National flag of Turkmenistan as a mark of commitment to the military oath, everlasting devoting to the Motherland and readiness to dedicatedly guard the peaceful and fulfilling life of the citizens of Turkmenistan.

The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov constantly emphasizes that the young specialists must insistently become proficient in current knowledge, master domestic and foreign experience in the military art.

The special attention is paid to the patriotic education of the young generation in the spirit of the selfless love to the Motherland, study of the glorious chapters of our centuries-aged history, in the whole field of which, best sons of the Turkmen people demonstrated the best example of unparalleled courage.

There is something for youth from whom to seek their inspiration – the glory of the brave ancestors who asserted freedom and independence of the Motherland, was etched with golden letters in the history of Turkmenistan. Thousands of our countrymen, demonstrating toughness, bravery and devotion to military duty, fought with enemy on all fronts of the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945. Among them was the grandfather of the President of Turkmenistan Berdimuhamet Annaev, whose life path serves today as a model for the Turkmen youth, model of true patriotism.

As the leader of the nation emphasizes, the Motherland – is a great value. The unfailing love to the Fatherland, readiness to give life for it – is a duty of every citizen of Turkmenistan. The main thing is that the meaning of life is in the devotion to the sacred and great duty to defend beloved Fatherland.

Expressing to the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov their sincere gratitude for the showed attention and special trust, the military servicemen assured that henceforth they will make every effort for the sake of safeguarding of peace and order in the country, inviolability of borders of the independent neutral Turkmenistan, strict observance of legality and public order.
