Today, in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who is in our country on a state visit, which includes participation in the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and international events timed to it.
As Emomali Rahmon noted, the significance of the issues raised at the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia goes beyond its scope, because the creation of conditions under which economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation will contribute to the rapprochement of the people of the region and the removal of tensions in the world depends on their solution.
Continuing the meeting, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Emomali Rahmon discussed the possibilities for diversifying the agreements reached in such strategic areas as trade, energy and transport, agriculture and water economy, reaffirming the commitment of the parties to close cooperation at the bilateral and regional levels.
At the end of the meeting, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Emomali Rahmon once again reaffirmed their commitment to the traditional bonds of friendship and good neighborliness, addressing the fraternal peoples of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan with wishes of happiness, peace and prosperity.
