Today, at the Oguzkhan Palace Complex, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan Talant Sultanov, who presented his credentials to the head of state.
En route to the venue, the nation’s leader asked about the ongoing efforts to beautify the areas adjacent to the Palace Complex, in particular, to keep the fountains and trees well-maintained.
Then, the head of state received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan.
Appreciative of the personal audience and the opportunity to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation, the diplomat conveyed the best wishes to the Turkmen leader from President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
Warmly welcoming the guest, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sincerely wished happiness and wellbeing to the top leadership and the people of the friendly country, and expressed his confidence that the upcoming official visit of the head of Kyrgyzstan to Turkmenistan on June 27-28 would open up a new chapter in the history of interstate relations and would lend powerful impetus to a closer traditional partnership taking on a strategic character.
During the meeting, special emphasis was placed on broader trade-economic relations, which have bright prospects, given the two countries’ keen shared interests and their complementary national economies. Established on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kyrgyz Commission for Trade-Economic, Scientific-Technological and Humanitarian Cooperation has an instrumental role to play in this.
The realization of the by-now potential in the trade-economic field on the basis of equality and mutual advantage will come into focus at the Turkmen-Kyrgyz Economic Forum and the exhibition of export goods of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat during the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan.
Stressing that advancing a multifaceted dialogue with neighboring countries, including Kyrgyzstan, is one of the priorities of neutral Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, the nation’s leader expressed his confidence in the successful first meeting with the head of the friendly country and the steady development of the bilateral relations based on the commonality of cultural and spiritual traditions of the fraternal nations.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan expressed his sincere gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the productive exchange of views on a wide range of issues of shared interest and concern, and assured that he would dedicate his energy and time to further strengthen the interstate cooperation for the benefit of the two countries and the sustainable development of the entire region.
