The first session of the first convocation of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan was held in the capital. Its agenda included the laws adopted at the 14^th session of the Sixth convocation of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan on May 22^nd for approval by the members of the Halk Maslahaty.

The importance of the revised version of the law «On Education», drafted and adopted by the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh, was also noted during the meeting. Laws of Turkmenistan «On Creation of the Anniversary Medal of Turkmenistan», «On the 30^th Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan» and the Law of Turkmenistan «On the Establishment of the Anniversary Medal of the Homeland Defender of Independent Turkmenistan», «Law on Public-Private Cooperation» Law «On company names» were proposed.

The participants of the session also discussed amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan "On Accession to the Customs Convention on Containers", "On Accession to the Container Fund and the Convention on Customs Rules for Containers for International Transportation", “On the state awards of Turkmenistan” "On amendments and additions to the Law on Turkmenistan”

“On amendments and additions to the Regulations of the honorary title “Fatherland defender of Turkmenistan” and the badge inscription" “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Turkmenistan", On Amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan "On competition for supply of goods, performance of works, rendering of services for state needs “On Amendments and Additions to the Tax Code of Turkmenistan”, “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of Turkmenistan”, On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts “On Fishing and Conservation of Biological Resources of Water” "On Amendments and Additions to the Law of Turkmenistan" On Migration ".

The draft resolutions of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan "On Approval of the Procedure of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan", "On Approval of the Regulations on the Organization of the Administration of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan and its Procedure" were approved at the meeting.

At the end of the session, the members of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh assured that the approved legislative acts will help to complement the existing legislative acts of the Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan by addressing the duties set by the Esteemed President on the advancement of the Homeland through socio-economic and democratic reforms.
