The Institute of International Relations of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan hosted presentation of book the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “White City Ashgabat”. The event was organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Russian Federation in Ashgabat.

Representatives of the Foreign Minsitry of Turkmenistan, heads of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited in Ashgabat, directors, professors, teachers and students of the capital’s higher educational institutes as well as mass media took part in the ceremony.

Speaking to the participants, Vice-premier, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov has noted that the capital of Turkmenistan, white-marble Ashgabat embodies large-scale success achieved the country for the years of independence and high international authority of our state in its magnificent image.

Representatives of diplomatic corps like Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation Alexander Blokhin, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia, Head of the UN Regional Center of Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Natalya Gherman, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA Mathew Steven Klimou, Acting UN Permanent Coordinator in Turkmenistan, UNICEF Representative Christine Weygand, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Homiddin Sharifzoda have shared their impression of new book by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

It was mentioned that publishing of boo “White City Ashgabat” in Russian language gives opportunity to broad reading audience, including the foreign one, to learn about important pages of the history of Ashgabat, to assess how the achievements of modern epoch are reflected in architectural image of the capital, which has become a center of development of sports, culture, science and education, to look into the future of new mage city.

Photo illustrations add an excellent hint to the narration and give opportunity to the reader to make visual impression of original architectural landscape of the city, which combines innovations, national color and high aesthetic features.
