In accordance with the Resolution of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Merettagan Taganov was relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Justice due to his transfer to another job.

During the first meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan of the first convocation, held on April 14, Meretagan Taganov was elected as the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Committee of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan for the protection of human rights and freedoms.

During the first meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan of the first convocation, held on April 14, Batyr Orazmammedov was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Committee of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan on regional development, environmental protection and agro-industrial policy.
