Another shipment of humanitarian aid, which was sent to Astrakhan Region, Russian Federation based on relative Resolution of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has been delivered by Caspian Sea from Turkmenbashy International Seaport. M/v Magtumguly has come alongside the Astrakhan berth today.

Medical supplies as well as confectionary made in Turkmenistan, which were officially handed over to authorized representatives of this Russian regions, have been delivered to Astrakhan Region as humanitarian aid.

The humanitarian cargo was met by Minister of Industry, Transport and Natural Resources D. Afanasyev, Minister of Health Protection A. Spirin, Head of International Relations Agency of Astrakhan Region V. Golovkov, members of the Humanitarian Association of Turkmens of the World in Astrakhan Region R. Kurbanov, Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan G. Garayev and representatives of mass media.

On behalf of the Governor of Astrakhan Region igor Babushkin, Minister of Industry, Transport and Natural Resources Denis Afanasyev has addressed the words of gratitude to Turkmen friends: “We would like to extend gratitude to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for friendly attitude to Astrakhan Region. Delivery of humanitarian cargo is a priceless support in such hard times when we have to combat against the coronavirus in Astrakhan Region and in Russia in general. This act of goodwill indicates the intent to help us in hard moment”

Minister of Health Protection of Astrakhan Region Alexey Spirin has also addressed the words of gratitude: “Today, Astrakhan meets a cargo from Turkmenistan. This decision has been made by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In this regard, on behalf of the Governor Igor Babushkin and people of Astrakhan Region, I would like to extend sincere gratitude to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his support in hard times for us”.
