Session of the Central Election and Referendum Commission in Turkmenistan has been held. Outcomes of the first elections of members of the People’s Council of National Assembly, which was an important event in public and political life of the country, have been summed up at the session.
Members of the Central Election Commission, representatives of its working commission, responsible personnel of political parties, public organizations and mass media took part in the session.
Reports of national observers on results of the monitoring of election process have been presented at the session. National observers were represented by authorized personnel of the Democratic and Agrarian Parties, Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, trade unions, the Women Union, Magtumguly Youth Organization.
It was also informed about work carried out under their authorities by the observers representing groups of citizens and appointed by the candidates.
The participants of the session expressed confidence that transit of the legislative body of the country to fundamentally new two-chamber parliamentarian system will make favorable conditions for further strengthening of legal bases of political development of Turkmenistan, enhancement of the efficiency of work of the state power authorities.
Other organizational issues, on which relevant decisions have been made, were reviewed at the session of the Central Election Commission.
