The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held online meeting with  First Deputy Director General of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company”, in short FSUE VGTRK, Anton Zlatopolsky. The possibilities of enhancing cooperation in information exchange and interaction through media were discussed during the meeting.

Turkmenistan considers VGTRK as one of the leading TV and radio broadcasting companies with a multimillion audience, undertaking an important mission to strengthen political, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between countries and peoples.

In recent years, extensive experience has been accumulated in covering significant events in the socio-political and cultural life of our country, including the elections of the President of Turkmenistan, the Asian Games-2017, the Caspian Economic Forum, the CIS Summit and other large-scale events.

In this context, the possibilities of cooperation between the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company were discussed.

Russian colleagues were invited to Turkmenistan to attend the celebrations on occasion of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat and 30th anniversary of independence

On the outcomes of the meeting, the State Committee on Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and FSUE VGTRK signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

As noted, signing of the Memorandum is an important step towards expanding cooperation, as well as building the potential of the Turkmen media for integration into the international information space.
