Wonderful holiday – International Women Day, has been celebrated in Turkmenistan. In our country, it is celebrated according to national traditions and is an evidence of great attention of the government to the best part of humanity.

Big celebration concert has been held in honor of all women of the country in the event hall of the Trade and Industrial Chamber of the capital. Popular singers, winners of various music and art contests have participated in the concert. Turkmen State Dance Ensemble and folk bands have also presented their creative gifts on occasion of the celebration.

The program of the concert included lyrical and folk compositions, famous and new songs, ancient tunes and modern melodies, foreign hits in Italian, English, Hindi, Turkish, Uzbek, Kazakh, Armenian and other languages. It has become a symbolical expression of the unity with entire world community, which celebrates International Women Day, in the year under slogan “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Neutrality”.

Mothers with many children, work veterans, best personnel of various facilities, activists of public organizations, scientists and cultural personnel, workers from different spheres were among the honored guests of the concert. Female personnel of diplomatic missions accredited in our country, representatives of international structures have also been invited to participate in the event.

The concert was opened with literary and music stage play about worshipping of woman, a mother. An a-Capella group of Turkmen National Conservatory, students of Turkmen State Cultural Institute, Dovletmammed Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, and children bands took part in the performance.

The bright and heartfelt performance has sounded as an expression of eternal love to mothes, the most sincere and deepest gratitude to all keepers of home hearth and traditions who generously give their love, kindness, tender and care. No wonder people say: “The Paradise is under mother’s feet”.

Further, the singers – experienced masters and young performers, replaced each other on the stage dedicating their songs, which interweaved admiration and love, gratitude and best wishes filled with national motifs and high feelings, to women. 

Touching vocal performances, stirring dance rhythms were mixed with applauses and celebration congratulations. The music show has reflected the blossoming of Turkmen spring and women’s beauty.

Congratulations to our fellow countrywomen, to whom art and museum exhibitions, TV programs and articles in press were dedicated, have sounded all over the country these spring days.
