The conference dedicated to the motto of 2021 ""Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust"" took place in the conference hall of the Public Organizations Center on January 4. The event brought together the heads and representatives of the Mejlis, public organizations and political parties, higher educational institutions, as well as journalists. The decision to declare the motto of this year was made on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov based on numerous proposals from the people, state institutions, large public organizations and political parties. It has become a good tradition in Turkmenistan to give motto foe each year, proclaiming in the motto the key guidelines for national development at a new stage. This contributes to raising the patriotic spirit and the aspiration of every person to be involved and make a personal contribution to tremendous work carried out in the country under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan. Those speaking during the meeting emphasized that the ideological message of the 2021 motto was aimed at popularizing the achievements of the Motherland, underlining their significance, boosting large-scale economic transformations and social progress, as well as promoting the contribution of our country to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, to ensuring peace and stability, international initiatives put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. According to those speaking during the meeting, the motto of this year is consistent with the Resolution designating 2021 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” , adopted at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly on the initiative of independent neutral Turkmenistan. The emblem, which was chosen as a result of the competition, will accompany all solemn events that will be held in our country under the sign of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland. Expressing gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for large-scale activities to develop the country, increase its authority in the world arena, the meeting participants emphasized that the Year of ""Turkmenistan - Homeland of Peace and Trust"" would undoubtedly be marked by new glorious achievements and great deeds. The conference participants assured that they would apply every effort to solve the problems of popularizing the progressive domestic and foreign policy of the President of Turkmenistan, the achievements of the beloved Motherland, and the patriotic education of youth.
