A number of draft laws were discussed during the 12th meeting of the Mejlis of the sixth convocation. Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of the media were invited to participate in the meeting. One of the main issues on the agenda was the consideration of the draft Law ""On the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2021"", as well as the draft Resolution ""On the execution of the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2019"". The Law ""On the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 202"" is to determine the dynamics of development of the country, is aimed, first of all, at maintaining sustainable rates of economic growth, ensuring high efficiency of government spending, and in general - at improving the well-being of people. The draft State Budget for 2021 provides that over 70% of funds will be invested into the development of the social sphere, in particular, education, health care, culture, the state social security system, housing and communal services, and public services. In 2021, it is envisaged to allocate certain amounts of capital investments for the construction of housing and industrial and socio-cultural facilities. The protected items of expenditure of the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2021 are wages, pensions, allowances, scholarships for students, which are planned to be increased by 10%. The indicators of local budgets provided for in the draft state budget for the coming year were presented during the meeting. As reported, in 2021 it is planned to take measures to support small and medium-sized businesses, increase the volume of domestic production, and ensure food abundance in domestic markets. According to the deputies, who voted unanimously for the adoption of the Law ""On the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2021"", this document is based on a competent calculation, backed up by resource potential and, undoubtedly, will serve the interests of the people of the country. The Resolution of the Mejlis ""On the execution of the State budget of Turkmenistan for 2019"" was also unanimously adopted.
