Sowing of winter crops has started in Turkmenistan. The fields under crops will occuoy 690,000 hectares in the country, from which farmers will have to collect 1,400,000 tons of grain including 400,000 tons in Ahal, 345,000 tons in Mary, 310,000 tons on Lebap, 265,000 tons in Dashoguz and 80,000 tons in Balkan Region. Fulfilling the orders of the Head of the State, Turkmen farmers have thoroughly prepared to responsible campaign, having timely ploughed and fertilized the fields allocated for wheat. Quality seeds of such productive species of food wheat as Sahrayi, Juvan, Bitarap, Yoloten 1, Yoloten 3, Turkmenbashy 1, Gyzylshaglavuk 25, Miras, Akbash, Shanly, Hasylly and Watan have been prepared for sowing. The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Protection has informed TDH that 2,583 ploughing and 7,605 inter-row John Deer, CLAAS, Case, Belarus-80N and Belarus-82.1 as well as 1,723 sowers, equipment and technical aid for improvement of productivity of work of farmers would be used in current campaign. New equipment received this year, which will help to accomplish campaign on time, which is a guarantee of good yield, will be good support for the farmers. In particular, these are 155 John Deere tractors provided with telematics electronic control system. Seminars with participation of representatives of regional and district administrations, heads of farming associations, agronomists, machine operators, farmers and elders took place on occasion of the beginning of sowing in Gyavers farming association, Ak BUGDAY DISTRICT, Ahal Region, Turkmenistan farming association, Gubadag district, Dashoguz Region, Watan farming association, Charjew district, Lebap Region, Turkmenistan farming association, Vekilbazar district, Mary Region. Organizational issues of sowing campaign, use of modern agricultural methods and advanced practice during cultivation of grain crops, which undoubtedly would help farmers to accomplish sowing of strategic agricultural crop on time and with high quality, have been discussed at the seminars. Exhibitions of production made by the facilities of agricultural complex of the country, latest equipment of agricultural industry have been organized as well. Concert programs have been prepared on occasion of the start of sowing campaign.
