Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov held a videoconference meeting with Acting Chairman of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Ajmal Ahmadi. During the conversation, the parties focused on the importance of enhancing Turkmen-Afghan cooperation across the entire spectrum of areas. The interlocutors exchanged views on the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project. In this regard, it should be noted that the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Selection of Land Plots on the Afghan part of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline took place in Kabul on August 31. The document was signed by Acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing of the IRA, M. Karzai and representative of the “Türkmengaz” State Concern, the Board of Directors of TAPI Pipeline Company Limited, M. Amanov.
