Representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations took part in an online meeting with the heads of the EXPO-2020 steering committee. The organizational issues of the global forum were discussed during the meeting. As reported, taking into account the epidemiological situation in the world, Turkmenistan supported the initiative put forward by the UAE to postpone EXPO-2020 to next year. In this regard, the parties called for the intensification of mutually beneficial contacts and exchange of views, paying particular attention to the possibilities of using modern digital technologies. It was noted that the participation of our country in the EXPO in Dubai would contribute to the expansion of the geography and range of cooperation with all interested partners, the promotion of domestic goods in foreign markets, as well as familiarization with the best world experience in various fields. The UAE representatives expressed their sincere gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for all possible assistance in the development of traditionally friendly bilateral relations and fruitful international partnership that meets the interests of common well-being.
