Vice-premier, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov took part in online meeting of the heads of foreign ministers of Central Asian countries with Higher Representative of European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borell Fontelles. Joint measures for counteraction against the spread of coronavirus infection as well as situation and perspectives of the dialogue of European Union and countries of the region under the EU strategy for Central Asia have been discussed during online talks. In this context, priority positions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has been laid out and number of regional and international initiatives made by Turkmen side on the platforms of the United Nations, the World Health Organization and many other multilateral formats has been outlined.
