On occasion of the World Bicycle Day, declared by the UN General Assembly in 2018 on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Embassy of our country in the Republic of Turkey organized a bike ride in “Turkmenistan” Park in Ankara. Turkmen students, getting education in Ankara universities, the representatives of the administration of the Turkish capital, and the media participated in the event. The 10-km bike ride finished near the monuments to Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly, erected in the park complex. <çenter>* * * The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Peoples Republic of China together with the China World Peace Foundation and the Beijing International Peace Culture Foundation arranged a special event ""International Bicycle Day on the Great Silk Road: Peace, Trust and Solidarity"" at the Beijing Peace Garden Museum. The meeting was attended by Chairman of China World Peace Foundation, Ruohong Li as well as the heads of diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Croatia, the representatives of various public, youth and children's organizations, professional and amateur cyclists, the children's bicycle show group “Eason Kids Club” among others. The Chinese side expressed gratitude to the Embassy of Turkmenistan for the initiative to hold such a significant event, as well as activities to enhance multicultural cooperation at the Peace Foundation. Those speaking in frames of the event underlined the importance of the consolidating role of Turkmenistan on the international arena in the context of strengthening peace, friendship on the planet, the formation of an ecological culture and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, the development of sports diplomacy that is vividly proved by declaring the World Cycling Day by the UN General Assembly on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan. <çenter>* * * The Embassy of Turkmenistan in France organized a bike ride in honor of the World Cycling Day, which was attended by the representatives of the diplomatic mission and members of their families, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, as well as some embassies accredited in Paris. Memorable gifts were presented to all participants of the bike ride. <çenter>* * * The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a 5-km bike ride in Tashkent. The festive event was attended by the specialists of the diplomatic mission, representatives of the Turkmen youth studying in universities of Uzbekistan, as well as members of the Turkmen diaspora.
