Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov held online meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. During the online meeting, the ministers discussed the ways to enhance the interstate dialogue and outlined new vectors for implementing mutual potential, taking into account the state and trends of the modern world order. Diplomats emphasized the importance of joint efforts to counter the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic based on the experience and practice of cooperation. The heads of the diplomatic departments of the two countries discussed a wide range of issues in the political, diplomatic and trade-economic fields in the context of the objective situation at the regional and world levels. The parties attached great importance to the establishment of “green corridors” for cargos and goods in accordance with the requirements of sanitary and phytosanitary control at the borders. The importance of regular contacts at various levels between countries and the active resumption of bilateral meetings of delegations of public and private sectors was emphasized, at the initial stage – online meetings.
