President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working session with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiyev and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdyliyev in charge of the agricultural, construction and industrial complexes. Opening the meeting, the President noted that today it was necessary to analyze the progress of fulfilling the instructions on the development of the agricultural sector of the country and in this context to discuss important tasks. According to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiyev, within the framework of the socio-economic reforms launched in Turkmenistan, fundamental reforms were carried out with the aim to improve the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex, increase production of various agricultural products, and create favorable conditions for agricultural workers Necessary measures are taken to provide population with fruits and vegetables grown in Turkmenistan. In addition, it was reported that a digital system had been introduced into the industry. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers also reported on the progress in implementing seasonal agricultural campaigns. Commenting on the report and emphasizing the importance of the consistent implementation of state programmes, aimed at transforming the agro-industrial complex, the President underlined the importance of increasing the paces of work in this direction. “Our country should be a self-sufficient state in the production of agricultural products, our markets should abound with a variety of food products to satisfy the needs of Turkmenistan citizens. “It is necessary to provide the domestic markets of the country with necessary food products all year round, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized once again, addressing the deputy prime minister with relevant instructions. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Sh. Durdyliyev reported on the progress in producing necessary mineral fertilizers for the agricultural industry. As reported, the measures are taken to increase the production at specialized industrial enterprises. Commenting on the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted that an integrated and responsible approach to the transition to the digital system and the introduction of innovative technologies in all structures should be used. The President of Turkmenistan addressed Vice Prime Minister E. Orazgeldiev with instructions to increase the production of potato, onion and other vegetables as well as fruits in the country. As the President noted, in order to reduce the volumes of import, it is necessary to expand the cultivated areas this autumn and to plant fruits and vegetables in the regions. The President of Turkmenistan underlined the importance of ensuring seed potato production in the country, and noted that peasant associations, private producers and private farms should cultivate vegetable crops. The President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to purchase potato, onion and fruits from producers in the regions, as well as to settle accounts with them in time and continue construction of refrigerated warehouses. As noted, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs should be actively involved in this work. Then, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Sh. Durdyliyev and Ashgabat Khyakim, Y. Gylydjov got acquainted with the progress of further transformation of the architectural look of the Turkmen capital. The Vice Prime Minister and Ashgabat Khyakim reported on the status of works in this area and the measures taken to improve Ashgabat. Speaking about the necessity to modernize some buildings, especially those ones located in the center of the capital, President of Turkmenistan noted that they should blend well with the architectural ensemble of the main city of the country. Then the Deputy Prime Minister and Ashgabat Khyakim reported on preparations for the upcoming significant dates, in particular, the events planned on occasion of the annually celebrated Day of Ashgabat. Instructing the relevant officials to ensure the high organizational level of events dedicated to the Day of Ashgabat, the President emphasized that this work should be carried out in frames of the preparations for the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan neutrality. Underlining the importance of a responsible and comprehensive approach to the successful implementation of the tasks identified in the programme of socio-economic development of the Turkmen capital, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to ensure the coordinated work of the structures involved. Emphasizing that the works carried out in Ashgabat with the aim to create favorable conditions for residents, should be effective, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished success in fulfilling the tasks set.
