Perspectives of partnership with International Road Transport Union discussed

The Foreign Ministry hosted online consultation with International Road Transport Union, during which perspectives and main direction of bilateral relations have been discussed. It was mentioned that formation of developed transport and transit system and expansion of beneficial cooperation with competent structures specialized in this sphere is one of priority directions of the government strategy of the Leader of the nation. At the same time, it was highlighted that the UN general Assembly Resolution “Role of Transport and Transit Corridors in Provision of International Cooperation for Sustainable Development” initiated BY President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which was supported and unanimously adopted by all United nations members, is the base for productive dialog between Turkmenistan and all interested partners. Having expressed mutual interest in intensification of fruitful partnership established for the last several years, the participants of video conference session exchanged the views on realization of joint projects for establishment of new transport corridors in Central Asian and Caspian regions.
