Turkmenistan representatives participate in the UN Environment Programme video conference

Representatives of Turkmenistan took part in video conference session on subject of Mid-term Strategy of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in 2022 – 2025. Representatives of the United Nations Environment Programme, specialists of authorized organizations in this sphere, personnel of foreign ministries of European Union as well Algeria, Great Britain, Georgia, Canada, Lithuania, Peru, Serbia and Turkmenistan took part in the session. Representative of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Protection took part in the conference from our country. During the session, process of development of mid-term strategy for 2022 – 2025 has been discussed. Turkmen delegation presented priority directions of the state ecological policy and initiatives proposed by the country in the sphere of environment protection. In particular, importance of development of the UN Special Programme for Aral Sea (UN SPAS) has been noted.
