The political consultations held in the online format between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey focused on the prospects of bilateral cooperation. Expressing satisfaction with the high level of the interstate dialogue, the meeting participants discussed the progress of implementation of the agreements, achieved earlier. As noted, enhancement of relations with the Republic of Turkey was one of the key aspects of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan, pursuing a constructive open door policy under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Confirming the enormous potential for building a fruitful and diverse partnership, the parties emphasized the importance of regular contacts at the highest and intergovernmental levels, as well as between business entities of the two countries. The meeting participants discussed the prospects for deepening relations in the trade and economic sector, expanding business contacts, taking into account the comprehensive reforms launched in Turkmenistan, aimed at diversifying the industrial sector, radically modernizing the relevant infrastructure, introducing high technologies and creating high-tech industries. Particular attention was paid to the partnerships in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, including participation in various festivals and other creative forums to be held in Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey.
