Turkmen specialists and WHO experts discuss laboratory TB diagnostics

The online meeting between the representatives of the Ministry of Health Care and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Center for Treatment and Prevention of Tuberculosis of the Department of Infectious Disease Centers of the Ministry of Health Care and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, as well as the Turkmen State Medical University named after M. Garryev and WHO experts arranged at the UN Office in Ashgabat focused on laboratory diagnostics of tuberculosis. It was noted that Turkmenistan had achieved significant results that were recognized by the worldcommunity in protecting public health. The WHO highly evaluated the achievements of our country in the prevention, control and eradication of infectious diseases that is proved by special certificates. Calling for building up a fruitful dialogue with the UN and its specialized structures, including the WHO, as well as leading medical centers of the world, Turkmenistan has initiated close long-term cooperation with its foreign partners.
