A regular issue of the scientific journal “Democracy and Law” appeared in print. The issue, prepared for publication by the Institute of State, Law and Democracy, focuses on the current issues of public life and international cooperation on the global agenda. The author of the article “Legal Support of the Sphere of Social Protection of the Population” emphasizes the importance of the work consistently carried out in the country to strengthen the legislative base for large-scale social and economic reforms. It is noted that Turkmenistan had created a system of social protection of the population, taking into account global trends and, at the same time, reflecting the specifics of the country, its historical, demographic and social characteristics. The publication presents the list of laws and legal documents, guaranteeing the rights of citizens for social protection. The article by the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, the head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) “Partnership for global peace and security” is dedicated to the main areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations. In the article “Development of the legislation of Turkmenistan on military service”, the author emphasizes the importance of the ongoing work on the implementation of military reform. As noted, strengthening of the material and technical base of the military and law enforcement agencies of the neutral state is carried out based on the defensive Military Doctrine adopted in accordance with the peace-loving and humane policy, pursued by the Turkmen leader. The article ""Development of legal regulation of entrepreneurial activity"" is devoted to legislative support for private business. The publication underlines that intensive economic growth largely depends on the level of excellence of private initiative and the effectiveness of measures to stimulate it. A number of legislative documents are aimed at solving these problems. The material emphasizes the importance of improving the efficiency of legal regulation of entrepreneurial activity in the context of the implemented Digitalization Concept, and the increasingly active introduction of information technologies in the work of enterprises and organizations of the non-governmental sector of the economy. The publication, published in the Turkmen, English and Russian languages, presents the Chronicle, which highlights the meetings, sessions and other events held in Ashgabat with the participation of the representatives of authoritative international organizations.
