President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov. The leaders of the two states congratulated each other on the coming New Year and wished each other good health and great success. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed satisfaction with the rapid development of the constructive relations established between the two states based on the principles of good neighbourliness and mutual understanding. Underlining the importance of the humanitarian area of cooperation, the leaders of the two states called for enhancing fruitful relations in this sphere. During the telephone conversation, the parties also exchanged views on the significant issues of regional and international agenda. The two countries confirmed their commitment to the constructive cooperation within the framework of authoritative organizations, primarily the United Nations, the CIS and others. It was emphasized the active position and initiative approach of Turkmenistan to strengthening the economic and humanitarian ties within the Commonwealth, taking into account the realities of the modern world. It was noted that a number of important events took place under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan this year.
