The Davis Cup Tennis Tournament round to be held in Ashgabat in June 2020

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution authorising the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs together with the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan and the World Tennis Federation to hold the round of the Davis Cup International Tennis tournament in the Tennis Complex of the Olympic Village of Ashgabat on June 8 – 15, 2020. Organization committee for conduct of the above-mentioned international competitions has been established and its composition has been approved according to the document. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs were assigned to prepare and approve the Provision on conduct of the above-mentioned international competitions in coordination with the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan and the World Tennis Federation. It is expected that representatives of 17 countries will participate in the tournament. Sportsmen, which will compete successfully in the Ashgabat round, will be qualified to participate in the third group of qualification round of the Davis Cup in 2021.
