Preparation to the working visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Russian Federation for participation in informal meeting of the Heads of the CIS states, which is to be held on December 20, is carried out. In this regard, Turkmen leader confirmed invariable commitment of our country to traditional dialog under the Commonwealth of Independent States at the session of the Government on December 18. Being a country chairing the CIS in 2019, Turkmenistan has approached the fulfilment of this mission in the most responsible way trying to support the strengthening of historical friendship relations, which unite the nations of the Commonwealth states, expansion of versatile cooperation and giving of new stimulus to it, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted. Session of the Council of the Heads of Governments of the CIS and Summit of the Heads of the Commonwealth states, which resulted in adoption of the Declaration on Strategic economic cooperation of the country members of the CIS initiated by Turkmen side, have been held on high organizational level. Speaking of this, the head of the State highlighted that our country would continue holding active position in the partnership under the Commonwealth.
