President of Turkmenistan and the Head of Kawasaki Company discuss prospects of cooperation

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received President of Energy System & Plant Engineering of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Tatsuya Watanabe. Expressing gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the guest congratulated the President of Turkmenistan on the International Day of Neutrality and wished the Turkmen leader good health and success in his versatile activity as well as prosperity to the people of Turkmenistan. Mr. Watanabe reaffirmed the commitment of his company to the long-term bilateral cooperation and assured the President of Turkmenistan that the business circles of Japan would apply every effort to strengthen positions at the promising Turkmen market that creates the most favourable conditions for promoting business. Thanking for the kinds wishes, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that our country was always open to mutually beneficial business relations with leading foreign companies, working in various spheres. The President of Turkmenistan emphasized that comprehensive modernization and diversification of the national economy that focuses on the best international experience and advanced technologies, opened up great opportunities for fruitful partnerships on a long-term basis. The President of Turkmenistan expressed satisfaction with the efficient character of cooperation established between Turkmenistan and the largest company in Japan, underlining that today these traditional business relations had reached the qualitatively new level, successfully developing in a wide spectrum of areas. The Turkmen leader and his guest exchanged views on the prospects of further joint work given the educational programmes, aimed at establishing a modern industrial infrastructure in our country. Particular attention was paid to the complex on the production of synthetic motor gasoline from natural gas, built with the participation of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. in the Ahal region. Due to high technologies, including deep cleaning of raw materials, this enterprise stands as one of the most innovative in the world production practices. The products manufactured at the complex meet the high international standards. It is planned to build another similar complex. In this context, the Türkmengaz State Concern and the group of companies Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. and Sojitz Corporation signed the Memorandum within the framework of the working visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan this October. According to the businessman, his company is interested in expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan and is ready to share its experience and the latest technological developments. At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest expressed confidence in the ongoing development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
