Speaking from the rostrum of the Baku Summit of Heads of State or Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the President of Turkmenistan specified countering international terrorism as an important task to ensure the global security. “Supporting the efforts of the international community to create effective international mechanisms to combat this threat, Turkmenistan calls for the implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy,” said the Turkmen leader. The President of Turkmenistan emphasized that this work should be carried out both at the global, as well as the regional and national levels. “This task is of particular important for the member states of the Non-Aligned Movement, which are directly confronted with the real and potential threat of terrorism,” the President of Turkmenistan said.
