President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary, Sergey Lebedev. The guest expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the support provided to the development of constructive cooperation within CIS. It was emphasized Turkmenistan’s initiative approach to enhancing economic and humanitarian relations between the CIS member states. Thanking for the kind words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that our country was always opened for its friends and partners. Neutral Turkmenistan expresses its commitment to provide every possible support to strengthening the ties of friendship and good-neighborly relations. The President of Turkmenistan and his guest focused on wide opportunities for the further development of the mutually beneficial cooperation within the CIS, including in such important areas as trade, economy, transport and communications, energy and modern technologies as well as business structures. Highly evaluating the chairmanship of Turkmenistan over the Commonwealth of Independent States, Sergey Lebedev expressed gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the high level of organization of all the events. Along with this, the guest emphasized the importance of the First Caspian Economic Forum, held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone this August that brought together the representatives of almost all CIS member states. In conclusion of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary expressed confidence that the diverse potential of cooperation would contribute to further strengthening friendship and efficient partnership between the CIS countries.
