President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Vyacheslav Beskosty who presented his credentials to the Head of the State. Having extended his gratitude for spared time, the diplomat conveyed warm greetings from President Alexander Lukashenko, who addressed wishes of prosperity and progress to Turkmen nations, to Turkmen leader. At the same time, invariable commitment of Belarus to traditional friendship and fruitful cooperation with our country, which it sees as a good friend and reliable partner, has been confirmed. Having returned greetings and best wishes to the government and people of friendly country, the Head of the State congratulated Vyacheslav Beskosty on appointment to responsible diplomatic post and wished him success in work. Having stated with delight steadfast dynamics of interstate cooperation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that Turkmenistan aims at strengthening and expansion of constructive bilateral dialog, which is built on the principles of equality and respect. The Head of the state and authorised representative of Belarus exchanged the views on the main aspects of interstate partnership, having highlighted the presence of significant potential for expansion and diversification of productive relations in wide spectrum of directions. Wide opportunities are opened for expansion of Turkmen – Belarusian cooperation in the context of priorities of social and economic development of our country, strategy of modernization of industrial branches, opening of innovative facilities and development of new export production, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted. Activation of bilateral economic cooperation, joint realization of important projects, increment of trade volumes, which has a dynamic character, were the subjects of discussion. Speaking of importance of stimulation of direct business contacts, Turkmen leader and diplomat highlighted that it would be supported by favourable investment climate in perspective Turkmen market. At the same time, positive role of Interstate Turkmen _ Belarusian Commission has been highlighted. It was noted that our countries have positive experience of cooperation in political sphere and demonstrate high level of understanding in current problems of global agenda. Turkmenistan and Belarus play important role in stabilization of regional security both in Central Asia and Eastern Europe. In this regard, it was highlighted that both states successfully work together under competent international organizations especially under the United Nations Organization. Taking opportunity, the Ambassador congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the adoption of the UN General Assembly Resolution on declaration of 2021 as International Year of Peace and Trust, which was unanimously supported by the world community. The sides have also exchanged the views on cooperation under the Commonwealth of Independent States and agenda of the Summit of the CIS Heads of the States and session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS countries, which are to be held in Ashgabat shortly. Continuing the conversation and speaking of importance of cooperation in humanitarian sphere, the Head of the State and the diplomat spoke for activation of fruitful contacts in cultural, scientific and educational spheres. Importance of the Days of Turkmenistan Culture in the Republic of Belarus, which are planned to be held soon, has been mentioned. In the end of the meeting, having expressed gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for cordial welcome and attention to development of Turkmen – Belarusian relations, the diplomat assured that he would comprehensively support to further intensive expansion of traditional dialog of friendship and productive cooperation between two states and nations.
