In frames of the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conferred the highest titles of the Hero of Turkmenistan and Altyn Aý medal to Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations Aksoltan Ataeva. The President of Turkmenistan highly evaluated the diplomatic activities of the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations, underlining her services to the Turkmen state and people, her great personal contribution to strengthening the international authority of our country. The title of the Hero of Turkmenistan and the Altyn Aý medal were also awarded to Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, who was born in Turkmenistan. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highly evaluated the professionalism of our fellow countryman, who has flown to the International Space Station four times, and conducted five spacewalks.
