Opening ceremony of International Exhibition and Scientific conference “Main Directions of Development of Energy Industry of Turkmenistan” has been held in Trade and Industry Chamber. Representative forum reflects the priorities of energy policy of the country and serves as an efficient ground for demonstration of achievements and perspectives of development of the industry, exchange of practice and activation of cooperation. Ministry of Energy and Trade and Industrial Chamber were the hosts of the exhibition. Leading companies and profile structures from Russian, USA, Germany, Italy, Japan, China, Turkey, Iran, Belarus, Ukraine and other countries take part in the event. The exhibition has brought together around 130 participants – the representatives of the world energy companies, national profile structures, private business and experts. Heads of the Mejlis, members of the Government, representatives of ministries and departments, public organizations, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, numerous foreign guests took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition. The participants have listened the greeting of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with great attention. Every day, more and more foreign partners show their interest in participation in the review, which indicates high dynamics of development of electrical energy sphere of Turkmenistan. Current forum gives wide opportunities for exchange of practice with foreign partners, establishment of beneficial cooperation and discussion of perspective proposals. Dynamics of development of the industry is demonstrated by major projects including the projects of construction of gas turbine power stations in Ashgabat, Ahal, Balka, Lebap and Dashoguz Velayat. At the same time, dozens of distribution substations have been built in the last several years, renewal of the system of energy provision and lighting of the capital, other cities and towns. Large-scale work in this direction allows not only providing local requirements of the country but also supplying energy to neighbouring states. The dynamics of growth of power energy industry of Turkmenistan is reflected by the exhibition booths of the Ministry of Energy and profile departments. Accomplished projects and projects that are under development with foreign partners have also been presented at the exhibition. Special attention of the guests and participants of the review was attracted by the displays of Sumitomo Corporation and Çalik Holding, which introduce the projects of construction of new and modernization of existing power facilities. Models of modern buildings - the service and maintenance centres of energy equipment, ‘green’ generator stations and other give expanded imagination about the trends of development of Turkmen energy industry. National exhibitors have also presented the developments in the sphere of renewable sources of energy – solar panels and wind generators. Special attention is paid to ecological subject in Turkmenistan as the environment protection, rational use of natural resources, introduction of innovative ‘green’ technologies and provision of ecological wealth in general are among the top priorities of the state policy. Interested discussion of key directions of development of energy industry of Turkmenistan and international partnership in this sphere was continued in the format of scientific conference. Representatives of ministries and departments, specialists of scientific and research institutes of the country, managers of foreign companies, foreign experts, analysts took part in the forum The participants highlighted that energy strategy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is aimed at integrated development of fuel and energy complex, its diversification and dynamic integration into global energy system. Expansion of geography of export routes of delivery of Turkmen energy resources to the world markets is an important aspect of the government policy. International exhibition will continue its work until September 14.
