The President of Turkmenistan and Vice-chairman of the VINCI Board discuss perspective of cooperation

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Deputy Chairman of the Board of the VINIC Group Yves-Thibault de Silguy who arrived in our country for participation in events of the First Caspian Economic Forum. Having expressed the gratitude to the Head of the State for the opportunity of personal meeting, the guest highlighted the importance of coming forum in Avaza National tourist zone. Yves-Thibault de Silguy expressed the confidence that this large-scale event would give strong impulse to economic, trade, investment cooperation in Caspian Sea, to its turning into one of the largest transport and transit hubs of international significance, which plays an important role in the formation of new economic space in Eurasia and meets modern global trends. The businessman noted that multidimensional potential of Turkmenistan, which demonstrates rapid rates of social and economic development, makes it attractive for business circles of Europe and world. At the same time, Yves-Thibault de Silguy expressed admiration with grandiose changes for 10 years since his last visit to the country. Welcoming the guest, the Head of the State highlighted that Turkmenistan, which follows the course of innovative development, implements the strategy of expansion of foreign economic relations. Special attention in this context is given to the attraction of advanced foreign practice. In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated with delight that VINCI, which is a leader in international construction market, has actively participated in large-scale urban construction programme in our country for many years. During the meeting, the sides exchanged the views on perspectives of cooperation taking into account gained experience of joint work. Noting the efficiency of established partnership and its potential, representative of VINCI highlighted that it became possible due to foreign course of the Head of Turkmenistan, which one of the main vectors is the expansion of cooperation with European Union countries. The guest also noted the interest of his company in continuation of productive partnership, which is built on the principles of trust and mutual benefit. In this context, Mr de Silguy made specific proposals, having presented new project to the Head of the State for review. In this aspect, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that wide perspectives for active cooperation is opened under the concept of urban development of Ashgabat, having invited VINCI to take part in its implementation. Having expressed the gratitude for the trust, the businessman highlighted the intent to follow the requirements set by Turkmen side and wished successful work of coming forum.
