President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received President of ARETI Group Igor Makarov, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the First Caspian Economic Forum. Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to discuss the important issues of bilateral cooperation during a personal meeting, the businessman emphasized the interest of his company in building mutually beneficial contacts with Turkmenistan that demonstrates the dynamic paces of economic growth. Greeting the guest, the President of Turkmenistan noted that our country had always welcomed constructive collaboration with the leading representatives of world business. Emphasizing that within the framework of large-scale socio-economic programmes in Turkmenistan, particular importance is paid to the most advanced technologies and the latest scientific and technological developments, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed satisfaction with the efficient character of business relations with ARETI Group. The President of Turkmenistan and his guest exchanged views on the prospects of mutually beneficial partnership in various fields, including the oil and gas sector. In this context, it was underlined the importance of the forthcoming First Caspian Economic Forum aimed at promoting the international trade and economic relations, the effective implementation of the huge natural, resource, transit, transport and energy potential of the region, the strategic role of which is heavily stipulated by significant reserves of oil and gas. The President of ARETI Group informed the President of Turkmenistan on the progress of works, carried out by the company in our country, and reaffirmed the interest in implementing new joint projects in the energy sector. Expressing deep gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the trust demonstrated to the company, the businessman assured the President of Turkmenistan that the company would take the most serious and responsible approach to fulfilling the undertaken partnership obligations. The Turkmen leader and his guest also discussed cooperation in the field of sports, including the 2021 World Track Cycling Championship, and the 2026 World Road Cycling Championship. It was noted that Turkmenistan had wide opportunities to host the large-scale international competitions at the high organizational level, to train high-class athletes, including a multifunctional specialized infrastructure that meets international standards in all respects. Due to the progressive policy, pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who pays great attention to the development of physical and health-improving movement and sports, cycling becomes very popular in our country with every passing year. Popularizing healthy lifestyle, the President of Turkmenistan leads everyone, and especially young people by example. Igor Makarov informed the Turkmen leader that ARETI held a presentation of three bicycle rental stations. “As an International Master of Sports and a professional athlete in the past, I am very happy with the opportunity to take part in the large-scale work carried out in Turkmenistan to popularize cycling”, said the businessman.
